A nice upgrade from previous Loftilla scale
Easy setup with batteries included. App is nice, although because I had a previous unit on the app it took a while to figure out how to add the extra scale (instructions are available in the app but not easily navigable). My first weigh in indicated a body fat from the former scale (about 10% lower, so I'm not complaining ;), probably because of greater measuring accuracy rather than just algorithms. But what's cool is now I have multiple other measurements (13). I would like to see the accuracy of these compared to more expensive machines that precisely measure body fat.The upgraded display is nicer (see pics comparing), with a graphic chart I don't fully understand yet, but it clearly shows weight and Body Fat (weight displays first then few seconds later BF - I would prefer BMI over BF). The new scale was showing me about 0.2 pounds less than the previous unit, and then I weighed myself on another scale we have, and the new one matched it initially. However, in weighing myself several times repeatedly to compare, the loftilla readings were consistent but the iHealth varied repeatedly by a half pound or more. It could be because the Loftilla asks you to step on the scale first to zero it out, the iHealth does not.The app is good and has been recently updated. It even allows individuals to keep personalized data on each individual's phone app (I'm Android, my wife is Apple), or a family member can keep several on their own. I set it up on my wife's Android phone and it was very easy. The only criticism is I'm not sure of the need for the colored body graphic and circle chart, but maybe it graphically displays info I haven't figured out yet.I think monitoring BMI and weight is most important but it's nice to have the other data available to track over time. Basically, try and keep your BMI under 25.All things considered, we're very happy with the appearance and function of this Loftilla scale and corresponding app, and have recommended it to others.

Great scale for a great price with one major flaw
I am over-all very happy with this purchase, the scale is definitely perfectly accurate (I tested it with one of my ankle weights which I also measured on my digital kitchen scale which I know is extremely accurate right down to the .00 level).I am legally blind (right on the 20/200 line with my glasses on) and the scale is legible for me as is but I really love that it records my weight directly into my phone so that I don't even have to squint downwards. Plus my weight loss and maintenance progress is automatically recorded every time I step on the scale! There is one major con for me and that is that the app automatically shows you your BMI and what class your BMI score falls into whether you want to see it or not. The BMI scale is extremely inaccurate in recording your weight category and indicating health because is does not take into account your body type, fitness level or lifestyle. I am a very muscular and healthy guy who is just a few pounds overweight, no doctor would ever call me obese but this app does every time I open it.Realistically speaking, no person needs to know their BMI score. My GP can know my BMI score and take it into account along with knowing my body type, lifestyle and fitness level and she can tell me what weight class I actually fall under. For that reason and that reason alone, I absolutely do not recommend this scale to any person who has struggled with or is vulnerable to disordered eating and or body dysmorphia. I've struggled with that a long long time ago but currently I am in a good place mentally to use this scale and know that the BMI information on it is a load of bullcrap but back 4 or 5 years ago this could have triggered a relapse for me.

It Gives Lots Of Information About One's Health
This review is for the Loftilla Body Fat Smart Scale Model CS20M, not the CS20M3 which only measures your weight. Many of the reviews here seem to be for one or the other of these models. Both the scale and app are easy to use once setup, as long as the phone's Bluetooth is on one only has to step on the scale for only a few seconds. (The app will also link up with Fitbit and Google Fit if you use either of those.) The information provided can be a bit overwhelming until it is understood. Like most people, I am used to stepping on a scale just to see my weight, so when I was presented with the plethora of information that appeared on the app, I had to look up what some of it meant. It measures and tracks: Weight, BMI, Body Fat, Body Type, Fat-free Body Weight, Subcutaneous Fat, Visceral Fat, Skeletal Muscle, Muscle Mass, Protein, BMR, and Metabolic Age.Don't ask me how it measures all of this because I have no idea. All I know is that I step squarely on the four pads on the scale and the scale measures however it measures. It then tracks these measurements which can be viewed in a by the week, month, or year graph, making it easy to see how much the readings have fluctuated or held steady. To me the speed and accuracy at which the readings happen is what tops my list of pluses. Trying to balance and stay still for a long time would be difficult. I also am pleased with the size and brightness of the display.

Functional and inexpensive!
This is the second time I bought this scale. First I bought it in December of 2022 and loved it, but during my move earlier this year I wanted to clean house and start fresh so I gave it to my dad. After a few months I missed it and bought the exact same one lol. It’s reliable, looks nice, and the app is user-friendly (and free!!).
