Very good
I ordered this for my 3 year old boy. I was worried about the toys durability when I ordered it.The model is great, very well made (it is not a perfect model, however) very solid. The only weak things are the propellers and the landing gear. The model has lasted very well up to now (the boy is quite careful with his toys) and he absolutely loves it. The back door/ramp can be opened and closed and he puts little soldiers (1/72) inside and then shakes the model with the door pointing down to let the soldiers free in the "landing zone".So, very happy with this model. Dont expect perfection (buy and assemble a Tamiya model instead) but very well made, quite durable if well handled and lots of fun for the kids.

Cool Gift For A Little Warrior.
When this helicopter first arrived I thought it was made out of plastic until my son unboxed it. I examined it and it is made mostly of diecast metal with some plastic components. It does have a little heft to it. Yes, the propellers are made of plastic so the young ones have to be a little gentle with them but the rest of the helicopter is pretty well built. As for the cargo bay area door being able to open, my sons had no problem opening up. It is a small cargo door so don't expect to wheel any vehicles into it. The door is about 1 1/2" X 1 1/2"

Not Diecast at all
Don’t get me wrong, I like it, pretty cool and all, but it is not diecast at all. It’s a pretty tough plastic that’s seems durable.

Awesome
Grandson loves the details, sliding doors. It's got some weight. Don't recommend for really young kids, maybe 9 and up as the propellers do seem a little fragile. Other than that, awesome!

Be careful
Problem #1) This is not a durable toy and probably should be for display only. Blades break easily. They are cheap plastic and come malformed and either need to be bent up or down. With a little gentle heat applied, this is do-able, but be careful. The display stand is also pretty fragile, and it's a bit wobbly. It looks great on a shelf and is a decent size. I had a blade break and was able to glue it once. I then had the display stand break, and I ordered a second one since the price is so cheap.Problem #2) The original one I bought had "UNITED STATES ARMY" on the fuel tanks, which is accurate, and the replacement I bought had the US flag on the side, which is not accurate. I don't know if they make them with the Army designation anymore, but if not, it'll keep me from buying another one.Overall, strictly for display, the size and look is pretty darn good for the money. I would never buy this as a toy for a kid... whether they're 7 years old or 50 years old.
