LEDwholesalers 12V 4A 48W AC/DC Power Adapter with 5.5x2.1mm DC Plug, UL-Listed, Black, 3228-12VR2

Powering LED strip lighting with this. I bought a 15 ft reel of double-density 3528 type LEDs (600 LEDs/reel) and cut them to fit my kitchen cabinets, the whole strip draws 2.5 amps or 30W. I am running the adapter output thru a 12V pwm dimmer (aluminum case w/ 8A capacity), and at full brightness (30W) the adapter does get warm but it's not too bad, I would not want to push the adapter over 80% of its rating though. Turn-on delay is noticeable but not too long, and the hum form the adapter or pwm dimmer is barely noticeable. It works great and I would buy again, UL listing is a plus.

I bought this to replace a lost ac adapter for my USB hub. It's been in use for about 2 months with no issues. It powers the hub perfectly as I made sure all the specs matched the original adapter.

Work great for what they are. Used them in a pinch when I was out of 12v plug in power supplies, no issues. Price wasn't bad either. Bulk discount was available through their website.

I had previously purchased other drivers for led strip lights and were unable to leave them installed due the delay on power up. This Driver does not have such a long delay. note: this will not fit in standard size junction box and the load wires are a little small. The negative wire actually wraps around the positive wire and splicing it is a bit precarious. Maybe getting a female plug with a better set of load wires to splice into the led adapters would work better.

This is my second power supply. One came with an LEDwholesalers kit that I purchased and it lasted about 8 months. The second one has been running for 2 months so far.

I ordered this power supply to use on a cooled astro camera that has a requirement for 2 amps minimum. The configuration, overall size and connections are exactly what I was looking for. The unit works great in all regards for performance, storing and using this supply.

I wish I would have gotten this adapter 1st after buying and trying 2 other adapters (those were cheaper - me just trying to save a few bucks). Those all failed miserably. I installed this last night to (finally) replace my broken adapter for my kitchen under-cabinet LED lights. I will update this later on if the unit ever fails after long periods of use (that's what happened to the other brands - after continual use they broke down) as I like to keep them on pretty much 12 hours a day. But so far so good!

My big worry in any small switching power supply is EMI/RFI, as I'm a ham radio operator. When my kitchen was rebuilt a couple of years back, the contractor used a supply that looked JUST like this supply (slightly smaller by about 1/8" in each direction) that generated noise spurs up and down the radio spectrum, and really took out the SW bandsThis supply is totally different. I replaced that "other" supply, and I can't hear this supply, even with a SW receiver right next to it.How much better is it? I just placed an order for 4 more, and will probably end up ordering more than that. I can use the under counter lights in my kitchen again
