Audio extractor
Works great! Owned for a few months, no issues. Does exactly what I need it to do. Wish there was an on/off switch though.

Great splitter!
The video quality is spot on. It functions as advertised. I did not experience any lag in the video image. It was easy to connect. The only problem I had was in the order that devices have to be turned on. However, once I figured out the order to turn devices on it worked fine.

Great for Switch 2
This one works great for splitting the audio for my Switch 2 -- no delays or cutoffs. I tried a different model and it the audio processing would go to sleep when no sound was being delivered, which cut off the beginning of any sound. This model works flawlessly!

Worked better than expected
I was wondering why my HP monitor with built-in audio would not work with a Sony Blu-ray player meant for TVs. When I hooked the Avedio 4K HDMI splitter between Blu-ray player and monitor and worked perfectly after I set it to CH2. Also verified that the monitor didn't work without the splitter which means that the HDMI audio was reformatted for the monitor. My monitor has audio inputs but those weren't needed as the monitor decoded the HDMI input automatically. Actually, worked better than expected since I didn't need to use the audio outputs from the splitter as I was expecting. I did try the audio outputs from the splitter to drive headphones which worked but the output was a little low. I expect that audio outputs would work with a Bluetooth device, but I haven't tried that yet. My only complaint is that the documentation was sketchy which only identified the ports and switches with no technical explanation.

Does not pass video signal through
Doesnt display video signal after box. I have a streaming box that I wanted hooked to an older TV with DVI input. Now, DVI and HDMI are compatible, except that DVI cannot take audio signal. This looked like a perfect fix as it could split the signals audio and video and I could have working steaming on the TV. However when I installed the unit, I only got audio signal through. No video output whatsoever. I verified that my TV's input socket worked with a direct cable to the streaming box. I got good quality video feed, but no audio as expected. I was left high and dry in the end. I will probably end up need to get an AV receiver to bypass my issue. But this box did me no good and I'm out money on it.

Great Device!!
Wow!! This device has saved the day and has saved me hundreds of dollars in unnecessary A/V receiver upgrades. I have an old Denon receiver that still works great and I’ve been wanting to cut the cable chord forever that my receiver requires old audio connections (red white left & right) in order to get 5.1 surround. I plugged in a Xumo box to this audio extractor and solved my surround sound issue from this video source. It’s well built and feels super sturdy. Highly recommend this audio extractor splitter.

With this device, get Superb HDMI Audio, much better than headphones jack audio!
I recently started using my Dell G7 Gaming laptop to DJ with. Being a Windows machine, it has been a journey to learn how to get the best performance for delivering the best and most stable audio performance using Serato DJ Pro. But I noticed when I ran iTunes playlists or other sounds out of the headphone jack into the aux on my DJ board that there was a humming buzz sound I had not noticed before. Had a fantastic support call with Dell technicians who shared with me that the best sound source within my laptop was actually the NDVIA graphics card's "HDMI Audio" and suggested I try an HDMI audio extractor device to get the best audio, far superior than that which the headphone jack on my laptop was able to deliver. I purchased this one from avedio links and tried to use it connected to my 4k monitor and no "HDMI audio" source came up in my Windows settings. I reached out to avedio links for support and they explained to me that the only way I can get "HDMI audio" to come up as a sound output option from my laptop was to plug the HDMI cable into either a television or a monitor with built-in speakers. I thought it couldn't hurt with Amazon Prime's easy return process to go ahead and buy a 27" flatscreen monitor with speakers, I chose the "SANSUI Monitor 27 Inch IPS 100Hz Computer Monitor, USB-C FHD HDR Built-in Speakers" (and so far, I really like it). Sure enough, "HDMI Audio" because a sound source option in Windows. So I first hooked up my DJ speakers to the stereo output jack on the monitor, and the sound was good, but noticed when I opened up more than one application, unwanted noise would enter the sound. But then I inserted this avedio links HDMI Audio Extractor Splitter, then connected my DJ speakers to the sound output from the splitter, and yes, my tech support friend at Dell was absolutely correct: I finally achieved superb sound output from my computer! I played Billie Eilish "What Was I Made For" because there's plenty of quiet space in that song and her unearthly pure vocals were at least for me a ready-made audio benchmark test for high fidelity audio. And yes, not only was it the best sound I ever experienced coming out of my latpop computer into my DJ speakers, but when I paused the recording, turned the speakers way up along with the computer volume, amazing, amazing, hell yes, finally, no buzz, no hum, ready go from zero noise to Rave Dance Hall Jammin Powerhouse volume, all because I discovered HDMI Sound using a good, high quality HDMI Audio Spliter, and I'm very pleased that avedio links delivered just what I desired in tapping into the full breathtaking sound my NVIDIA graphics card has been waiting to deliver, and grateful for both Dell Computers and avedio links support for helping me to get there!

Perfect accessory to bridge the gap between my new equipment and an older, but still awesome, amp I have with analog-only inputs. This simply converts the audio stream from my modern cable box with HDMI-only output into a format my old-school amp can understand, while passing through the HDMI to my TV.

It is great alternative for older version, had been using it till now and there are no problems whatsoever. It has a nice compact design and doesn't have any heating problems. Flawlessly performs all functions like picture quality and most importantly it transmits Dolby sond effects to my hime theater for which I basically bought it. So I would say one should go for it.

So far I have used this successfully with my tv and projector and have successfully split hdmi signal to get visuals to one device and sound to my surround sound system and it's been working great so far. I'm tested it with my laptop, tablet, and streaming device as my input devices and my tv, projector, and surround sound receiver as my output devices. It's worked in all cases. The only hiccup I had was that for my tablet it seems one of my usb-c to hdmi cables didn't actually provide a proper signal that worked with either my tv or projector which was pretty annoying but after switching it out to another cable it worked just great. This device has been working great for me so far so I'm pleased and I have a feeling most people will be as well.
