Died Fast. Interesting Color, Quite Bright
Update: one of them lasted only 6 months and 5,000 miles. Won’t be buying again.I use these with my LS430's bright/DRL lights. The original bulbs still worked after 20 years but, boy, where they tinged a dirty gross yellow and not very bright anymore. These are really quite interesting - they have a sort of "clean yellow"-ness to them but if you look at another angle they reflect a sort of blue. They're certainly brighter than my old original lights. I kind of wanted a clean yellow because, believe it or not, I prefer my brights (and fog lights) to be yellow (works better with my eyes) and I definitely got it.

Awesome yellow tinted clear lights!!
Update is now October 28th 2021 and still working flawlessly!!! Wow these work really really well! They do have a YELLOW TINT to them but as far as seeing BRIGHT and CLEAR they are excellent. Can SEE 40-50FT ahead at NIGHT. People have given these lights one star for being yellow, not like silver stars, or being Dead on Arrival. Also make sure the lights are DOT compliant in your state. A person in Virginia gave these lights one star for getting pulled over and getting a ticket LOL. I'd say if you're in a commonwealth state check the laws LOL. I'm in Ohio so I'm all good . I have slight night blindness at night and with these lights I can pretty much see to drive without being bothered. I have to say, this is the best set of headlights I have ever bought.

but it was super dim, like it wasn't outputting at full power
At first the bulbs arrived dead. Neither one of them worked. I ordered a separate set and only one worked, but it was super dim, like it wasn't outputting at full power. I was determined, however to see the potential of these lights (I'm not one to give up.) I ordered one last pair, and sure enough these one worked. I really like the look of them, they kinda have a rally car yellow to them. with a little hint of blue thrown in for style. You can't really see the blue all that much on the road. While these lights are far from bright, they do somehow light up reflective signs really well, which is awesome. Overall, I like the lights and would like to buy these again, but I think the quality control is severely lacking. I am hoping some other manufacturers will start making these with better quality control that I can buy next time around.

I'm a fan, use them almost every weeknight.
I actually like them, have bought two sets even. My lifestyle finds me out all night, almost every night of the week. I even use the H1's as my fog lamps. And they are very bright. It is different than white light and easier on the eyes of the driver. They have a tri color, rainbow color if you look at the lens. I suppose it's mostly up to you own preference. I have no problem with the brightness, can actually see better. And farther on high beam. Seem to last about the same as regular halogens. If your lens is foggy I would not suggest these. It will make a big difference, I wouldn't be surprised if that is a big problem with the other people saying they have problems. The rainbow look is only on the lens of the headlights. Not cast out in front.

impressed so far
I have these as high beams and day time running lights. They are a neat looking combination of white, yellow, and blue. With the lower power running them as daytime lights, the output is noticeably more yellow than a standard halogen headlight but when you look at the lights there are rings of blue/purple in there. Signs seem to reflect more too. At full power for the highbeams, hard to say if they really are much brighter than my original halogen bulbs but I think the coloring makes certain things stand out better. I've had this brand & style bulb as low beams in 2 other vehicles and was impressed with them there as well. If the headlights aren't properly aimed, these can seem dimmer due to the yellow-ish coloring but when properly aimed, they work nicely.

Did not get the night defense
Amqzon is not sending these bulbs when you order them. They send you the tvt bulbs instead. I have done a return replacement to get the night defense bulbs that i ordered. Alas they sent the tvt bulbs to me once again. These bulbs were the best imho. The color stands out on these. The first night I drove with them I could tell a difference right away. The light shows further down the road by far. They also cut through fog like butter. I live in a rural area, and we are used to looking out for deer when we drive. These headlights cover the sides of the roads on both sides with plenty of light. More that any other bulb. And that is without using high beams. High beams light up the night period. I am not sure but Stevie Wonder would probably see the high beams these put out! (Sorry Stevie, I don't really think these are a cure for blindness) I would not want to be an oncoming car when some one was using these high beams!

Light up the night
This is a case of how much light do you want and how often are you will to change the lamps. In the past I used the ultra bright lamps, but their life span was short and changes were need more often than I liked. These are not a bright, but put out more light than the OEM lamps. The life span so far exceeds that of the ultra brights. Overall I am quite happy with these.
