The best of the weird British/Australian spreads I've tried.
I've been eating Marmite and Vegemite for a bit, and thought I'd try this. I like the taste of Marmite better than Vegemite, but this is the best of the three. It has much less of a bitter taste, and is less of an 'acquired taste' than the other two. My kids actually liked this one, but won't go near the other two. The texture is kind of between the texture of Marmite and Vegemite - Marmite being very sticky like very thick honey, Vegemite being much more firm, like spreadable butter. Overall, I really like Promite.

Healthy, energizing and versitle
I've been eating Promite for yrs. I was introduced to it by Australian friends and love cooking with it as a broth, in stock, flavor booster, in place of soy sauce, a drink or spread on toast. Its been especially handy as a long hual trucker, when there's no time to eat or to buy a meal, this thinly spread on thick crackers will satisfy until you can stop for a meal. It has the taste of meat drippings but is not greasy, its vegetable based, the boost is the vitamin B content. Its very flavorful, has a long shelf life, I have a jar over 2 yrs old, no spoilage.

In short - it's bloody great mate!
There's not too much that can be said about Promite.By that I mean, one can't say ENOUGH about Promite. However, I am not going to try and convert anyone to this King of Savory Spreads, for fear that everybody will want to try it and buy it and then all my house guests and dinner guests will all be clamoring for it, and I will be constantly disappointing people by telling them to bugger off and that they should stick to Peanut Butter and other such mystery American Spreads. In short - it's bloody great mate!

Fell in love with Promite while in Australia
Fell in love with Promite while in Australia. It's great on toast (spread very thinly over some already-spread butter), and even better if you then add a slice of cheese and thin slice of tomato and microwave for about 20 seconds.

This is the best one I have tasted
Well I went a little nuts with reading reviews and decided on Promite over the others (Marmite, Vegemite etc etc). This is the best one I have tasted. It's alot less salty than Vegemite. It's very savory. Definitely on my permanent list of buys.

I love Marmite and Vegemite
I'm sure there are a select few who make up an oddball following. I love Marmite and Vegemite. This stuff tastes like what your cold broiler pan smells like after you haven't washed it for a few weeks. Very spreadable though. It's not as pasty as Vegemite but also not all molassesy-sticky like Marmite is. I give it two stars on the spreadability texture.

Was missing my promite
Love it. Good to find somewhere that can mail it for a somewhat reasonable price.

Best of the 3
Promote is the best tasting of the 3 like products. No yeast aftertaste. Sweeter, mild, good in sauces, or just on toast with butter.
