Good set, Makes a cute house!
I enjoyed the cookie cutters. They made a cute house. All the pieces fit together properly except the floor which needed a trim. The windows were tricky. Tip: make sure you let the gingerbread shapes cool thoroughly before removing from tray. If you pick them up and they are still warm, the big pieces will bend and break. The snowman was my least favorite piece, it looks a little weird the way they made it stand up. The deer, trees, and sleigh worked exactly as pictured. Overall, good, family fun.

Exactly what I needed! Saved us so much money!
For years I have been watching other families do these elaborate gingerbread house competitions with their families. I’ve always wanted to do it but those dang gingerbread house kits are SO expensive!!! I never thought I would be able to make all the pieces myself. But this made everything a breeze!I wanna share some of my experiences and tips from my first year of doing this whole gingerbread house baking/decorating thing, as well as share what I liked about these cookie cutters. These pictures are from when I bought this kit in December 2022 (I am just now getting around to leaving a review) and I wish I could remember the gingerbread recipe I used so I could share it with you all, but I can’t remember which one I used. But the gingerbread itself was very tasty.I made royal icing with meringue powder for the “glue” on most of the houses. For the first house I used melted white sugar for the “glue” and then I almost immediately burned myself with the liquid sugar and got a crazy bad burn. So. I recommend royal icing. The melted sugar was super strong and quick to dry but it wasn’t something my kids could help with and the burn was not worth it. Use royal icing! But after I made the gingerbread, I rolled out the dough with a cool rolling pin I also got from Amazon that had a measurement ring on it so I could be sure to get all of my pieces the same thickness. Then I was able to use the cookie cutters that came in this kit!I really appreciated the size of the cutters as far as how big of a house it made. They were on the small size but not too small. Each person in the family got to decorate a house. I also looooved the 3D shapes like the sled and tree. I was worried about how they would fit together when the cookies baked and puffed up a bit. Most did ok but I do have some tips to share later. After all the cookies were baked we started to assemble the houses. I used dollar store cookie sheet tins wrapped in aluminum foil to set each house on. That made it so much easier to move houses around. It took a long time for the royal icing “glue” to dry, so we propped the sides of the houses up with cans of veggies overnight. We quickly learned that this was going to be at least a two day process. For my house, I melted jolly ranchers in a glass bowl in the microwave and poured them into the window holes I cut out with the cookie cutters to give them a stained glass look. That was pretty cool.We got all of our candies from the dollar tree by the way. After the walls of the houses were dry, we added candies to decorate the outside. The 3D pieces for the most part did fit together after being baked, but I baked a few more and found that if I rolled out the dough and cut out the pieces with the cookie cutters, if I made the parts (holes/gaps) where the pieces were supposed to interlock just a litttttttle wider, once they were baked, they fit perfectly. Also I think if you find a gingerbread recipe that doesn’t puff up as much, that would help! But all in all I think our first gingerbread decorating time went really well. We all had a blast and I really think it will be a new yearly tradition. I know that it wouldn’t have been as easy or as affordable without this kit. The kit contained all the cookie cutters we needed to made it a success and I loved the sizes. Now for my bonus tip, the one you didn’t even know you wanted!!! This is one reason why I’m actually totally in love with these cookie cutters. We also have had a family tradition of making homemade Christmas ornaments every year. Well I loved making the 3D cookies so much I thought, why not use these cookie cutters with the clay we are using for our ornaments!? And tada! They made the CUTEST little 3D ornaments! I added some string and hung them on the tree. And how cute would they be displayed in a little Christmas village?!So. Gingerbread houses cookie cutters could and should also be used for your Christmas clay fun and maybe even for play dough fun. Just saying. And a thought just popped into my head. How much fun would it be to make gingerbread scented play dough and let your kids use these cookie cutters and make their own play dough gingerbread house villages?! Oh the possibilities! Such fun!

Ease of use. Just be careful
I really do like this and it did the job great. The house part though broke loose at the end.

Cute and fun
We had fun using these but I’m not sure we used them correctly with the right type of cookie dough?! They cut fine but cookies grew too big too really assemble anything as pictured. They have tarnished already after being washed they aren’t very sturdy and bend easily. Over a fun experience!

Great Molds for Gingerbread House
We used this and WON a gingerbread house contest! These molds will shape large slabs of molasses gingerbread pieces into the right shape you are going for! But beware, because the pieces are so thick, be prepared to use extra frosting to hold your house together. We had to use a coke can to hold one side in place until it dried enough to keep and hold its shape for the frosting treatment. Overall, these are GREAT for gingerbread house building. I highly recommend!

Easy & Fun Gingerbread House
These were a tad bit smaller than I had expected, but they were so easy to use and very easy to clean! They fit very well on the top rack of the dishwasher.

Bummed
I had high hopes that were tossed out of the plane without a parachute. We ended up not even using all the smaller 3d cookies, because none of the pieces would fit together properly and remain standing. The house walls and roof definitely needed to be more study. The metal was so thin that there is no way to get a strain lined. Everything was bowed and curved. Forget about those crisp right angles. Very disappointed.

Make the ginger bread house more detailed & 3D
We have a similar set but this one beats the old one. Besides it having all the the old pieces to make a gingerbread house, it has pieces to make 3D figures which is awesome! Get to do easy 3D cookies instead of hoping they stay sticking up. Perfect for doing the gingerbread house with the kiddos.
