AvedaFull Spectrum Protective Permanent Pure Tone Haircolor Lightest Blond, 1 Ounce

I LOVE Aveda products, but hate paying to have my hair dyed in a salon. I actually think this product is cheaper than the box dye, since I can get multiple dyes out of one tube. I have to admit, I was nervous to try this at home......but I had great results.I mix this 1:1 with Aveda Color Catalyst Vol 40 Conditioning Creme. I mix by sight - I don't use a scale. I've used this for about a year now, with very good results.I have naturally medium brown hair, and with this on my hair for 45 minutes, I get a nice, light blonde color.

Super frustrated that it wasn't clear that I also had to buy the conditioner.

I used this mixed with an equal amount of Aveda Conditioning Creme Developer 40 , left it on for an hour with great results.

I was encouraged by the other reviewers to give this a go, unfortunately it pulled out all of my orange pigment and although I am much lighter now, I have to figure out how to tone this shade of hot orange down. It is going to be either a trip to a colorist to help me resolve this or I might need to wear a headscarf until this grows out. I would not recommend this color unless you are skilled and know how to neutralize it in case it turns for the worse.Update: If you do end up with a hot orange tone like I did, try Pravana The Perfect Blonde Purple Toning Masque 5 Oz. I tried Aveda purple shampoos and masks to see if they would fix the problem, but I found that they are not that strong. Pravana did the trick. It helped me significantly cool down the tone after repeated use (in other words, don't expect a fix after only one try). I did not want to hold it for too long so that I don't turn into a punk chick or damage my hair, so it took a couple of tries. In the end I did not have to go to a hairsalone to have someone professionally correct the color, but this Aveda color would have been awful without the blue masks that helped fix the problem. So I am now relatively happy and could use the same color again. I have since done some more research and I think I will try adding Aveda Hair Dye, Light Violet/Blue to this color and hopefully that will make it platinum rather than orange. One more tip an Aveda colorist gave me, if you are naturally blond or light like me, you don't need 40 developer, but either go with 20 or mix it with water 50:50. Hope this helps!

Works, is true to color, and, my favorite hallmark of Aveda products, creates no irritation, if used with the Aveda Color Catalyst (as opposed to any other developer).

The Aveda product pernament hair color washed out in the first washing 4 days. I don't think it's a good product. Is this case so you have to come back 8 weeks later and spend another $110.00 for one color foil that washed out?? It washes off the grey in 2 washings. I may have to find another salon that uses different hair coloring other than Aveda. I think it's an inferior product.

I bought several colors of full spectrum with catalyst and I mixed different colors at the same time. Even if it is first time, I made it.my hair color is beautiful. I love it.
