Very comfortable and a good partner for a standing desk.
After having back problems my physio recommended that I get a sitting stool to use as an alternative to a chair or standing at my desk. I saw this one and ordered it to try out. It is very good and I can adjust the height to match the desk as I lower and raise it. Very comfortable and easy to use.

Really comfortable perching stool
I puchased this as I was advised I needed a perching stool due to a prolapsed disc. My job is sedentary and too much sitting was also causing problems with my hips.I looked at a lot of perching stools and found the reviews to be very mixed, but so far I love it!It was easy to put together with the instructions provided and also came well packaged. My husband had to help me with highering and lowering the stool as I couldn't figure this out initially. You have to make sure you are perching on it before pulling the handle to adjust the height. Once I knew this, I had no problem at all.The base is weighty (which of course it needs to be), so when perching I don't feel like I'm going to fall. I have used in my home office on carpeted flooring. I know some reviews said the seat isn't comfortable, but personally I think it is really well padded and extremely comfortable. I just make sure it is in the right position and perch away! I've not used at my standing workstation as yet, but have used when doing my hair and not once have I felt uncomfortable.I'm really interested to see if it helps my hips and back when using on a daily basis, but so far I'm happy with my purchase.

Very useful and sturdy. Would prefer a more saddle shaped seat.
I bought this because I have Postural Tachycardia Syndrome which means that I feel unwell when I am standing up. I was having trouble standing in the kitchen to make food and wash dishes. The occupational therapist recommended I get a perching stool but they are awkward because they don't allow you to move very much, and also depressingly ugly. I decided to try this and it is really helpful. I like that it tilts and spins so I can turn and lean to reach things, and that I can adjust the height to suit me. The padded seat is comfortable and it feels robust - I don't worry about it breaking. I gave it 4 stars because I can't actually stand and lean on it because the base slides out from underneath me on the kitchen tiles, which meat that I have to have it a bit lower and sit on it more like a traditional stool. On this position, it would be more comfortable if the seat was more of a saddle shape than it is. However, it has still helped me a lot - I am able to make food more often, and I feel less unwell when I do the dishes, so still worth the money. I wouldn't recommend if for people who have poor balance or bad joints though, as it tilts very easily so you have to be able move quickly to keep yourself stable to use it safely.

OK but not particularly comfortable
I'm an average height guy, 11 stone, not overweight. This seat is used with a standing desk. The blue colour is nice, as is the seat material. It's ok to perch on or lean against - the base is heavy and stable and doesn't slip, feels very secure and solid on carpet and on lino. It allows easy movement to keep your joints supple. Height adjust is fine - it goes higher than I really need so that's ok. Adjustment is very smooth and simple. Easily stored out of the way under the desk when not in use. However, the seat I find quite uncomfortable, even with an additional cushion. Its circular with moulded cutouts in the plastic base for your legs but I find they're not cut back deep enough and actually dig into my thighs. Also the padding isn't really thick enough or firm enough and I can feel the lift mechanism, which gets uncomfortable. Having a foot rest 4" to 6" helps. All in all mildly disappointed. I may just try hacking the seat and adding more padding - I have the expertise to do that. For the price, returning it is probably more bother than it's worth. Almost there, but not quite.

Great for lower back pain
Great little stool that helps with lower back pain. Does not drop as low as a chair goes but my guess is ,that’s not quite what you want from this anyway. Ergo shape fits your nether regions well and the ball base is nice and sturdy. Has some heft to it if you are going to move it around a lot.

Great customer service
I had an issue with my first stool delivered and they promptly sent me a new gas cylinder. Unfortunately it wasn't the gas not the seat mechanism that was the offshore but they sent me out a brand new stool that worked great.Crystal was very helpful and professional at all times. Great costumer services and a great product for the price. Would recommend.

Pointless
Awkward, heavy and cumbersome, uncomfortable after short periods of use, no ergonomic support, made all my aches and pains worse, did nothing for posture.

Game changer
Was unsure about this stool at first, takes a bit to get used to it. I can now 'perch' to prepare meals etc where I struggled before due to a health condition. Love it
