Although the directions were difficult to read, it was easy to assemble and seems sturdy. It didn't work for me in its usual configuration because it made the toilet area too crowded and difficult to reach things. However, I quickly realized that the gripper feet and the adjustable features of the safety rail works well as a non-drill side-rail (see picture). So far, having a rail on one side provides all the support I need. If more support is needed, I could unfold the rail and put it in front of me. I used the foam packing cushions to provide cushioning between the rail and the wall to prevent damaging the wall. I have been using it for a few days, and it works great. I am unable to install a wall mounted safety rail because I am renting.

Bought this for my elderly mom with Parkinson's. The previous toilet rails we used needed to attach under the toilet seat, which cannot be done under her new bidet seat. While this initially didn't seem very stable, because of the bars resting behind the toilet seat lid when it is open, it doesn't falter when she gets up or down. I did wrap a washcloth around the back bars where they rest against the toilet - this keeps it from clinking, makes it fit more snuggly, is more comfortable if my mom sits on the toilet with the lid closed to get dressed, and I can toss simply toss it into the washing machine to clean. I put only 4 stars because the suction cups to help with stability aren't the best and it SEEMS as if it isn't as stable as it really is, which is a drawback as my mom doesn't feel as safe as she is.

The adjustable width and height without having to attach to the toilet seat was reason we ordered this. We have a small space to work with and this did not interfere with the bidet. Toilet roll could not be placed on existing hanger. We are using free standing toilet stand. Arrived on time and easy to assemble. I think it is a bit wobbly. My husband had major back surgery and is happy with it. The toilet sits between a wall and bathroom cabinet so I'm not too worried. If there was a lot of open space, I would probably have one that attached to the toilet so there was little to no wobble. Our toilet seat height is 18 1/2 inches, so we did not have to buy a raised toilet seat.

This was very easy to put together. I assembled it within 10 minutes. Its very sturdy and so convenient. If you are having problem with a hip or leg this is very helpful in lowering yourself down and getting up from the toilet. The rails are sturdy and I would highly recommend it if you are going to have hip surgery, or for an elderly loved one who just need assistance in the bathroom. I love it and highly recommend this product.

I bought this for my dad who is recovering from surgery to repair a broken femur. Most aids for people who need stability to use the toilet require fastening them to the toilet itself, which can be tricky; my dad's toilet simply can't accommodate any of those kinds of aids (pro-tip: think carefully if a fancy *designer* toilet is really what you want when none of the regular toilet seats and accessories will work with it!). I immediately knew this was the right product because it could accommodate a range of widths and heights (awesome), and is so easily adjustable. The only reason it's a 4 star and not 5 for "Stability" is for that same reason - it's not connected to anything, so it can feel a little bit wobbly when just placed on the ground. However, with the suction cups, and when under weight (when my dad is leaning on it to use it), it stays perfectly in place and I have no concerns. Huge kudos to this company for this inventive design. When we put this frame next to the toilet, the whole family exclaimed how well thought out it was. The frame just arrived this morning, and I'll update this review if further daily usage indicates any other useful info.

I like everything about this Toilet Safety Rail except the suctions cups on the front feet are useless. They do NOT stick. It is cute and very easy to put together and easy to store when not in use. I feel the suction cups are misleading, which to me, would cause someone to think it was secured down. And it's not. Other than that, I like it. Bought it for my 88 year old Mom.

Well made and simple to adjust. Height very adjustable to accommodate anyone.

Was thankful for the sturdiness which helped with my mom’s safety and convenience when she was visiting. Would definitely recommend!
