Great sound field from outdoor speakers
My only portable speakers were Bose Soundlink Minis. They are pretty much the reference standard for small Bluetooth speaker sound. I wanted something more suited for outdoors. But importantly I wanted stereo sound in a portable package. Most people only review stereo pairing bluetooth speakers as single units. This review focuses on the stereo capabilities. I wanted something that could get close to the Bose soundlink mini base response at lower volumes. I started with JBL Pulse 3s. They had the greatest light show features I have ever seen. But the stereo was very flaky. The entire implementation is proprietary and relies on a running app. The longest I ever got it to work was for 3 minutes. Also the low volume bass response was non-existent despite the reviews. Returning them I went for these Soundcore Trance speakers. First the sound. Decent low volume bass although not quite at the Bose level. Decent mids and highs. Very good when aimed at the listener. They will go loud but that is not how I use them. The light features are nowhere near what the JBL Pulse will do but it's Ok. Where these things really shine is the stereo feature. Once they are initially paired they stay that way. It is standard TWS as far as I know and it works well. It gives verbal and visual clues as you turn them back on. It takes about 20 seconds to power them back on and for them to link to one another. There are other cool little features once they are paired in stereo mode. When you use the app to change the light show, both speakers change in sync. The JBL Pulse could not do that. When they are paired, if you turn off one, they both turn off. The only time I have ever had a problem is when I was playing music and messing around too much with the app. I think that overloads the processor and the stereo drops. So if you just get it set up and then play music, everything seems to work. The stereo field is very impressive. They produce an expansive sound field when positioned correctly and being cordless, that isn't hard. It sounds like headphones except it is all around. They are a little big and heavy but the handle helps with that. For what they cost, I am pretty happy.

This is a great speaker and you won’t regret it.
This is not a small speaker, it’s about 8 pounds and it has a lot of power, but it's easy to carry around with the handle. This speaker is loud enough to be outdoors and more than enough for indoor house parties. It works great when I used it at the backyard while having a barbecue party, oh it's waterproof too, so I didn't worry about it when it started to rain. I will definitely take it with me to the pool next summer. The lighting syncs with the music of your choice, I think it's a really cool feature if you are a visual person. Over all the Soundcore App is a nice app with easy navigation. There are many features on the app that you can explore and I recommend downloading it. It has up to 18 hours of play time not plugged in. The bass is nice, the sound is great when on maximum. No distortion and muffled sound. I really like this speaker, i can see myself using it for indoor parties, outdoor barbecues, and special events. Everyone has been asking me where I got this speaker because they love it too, it's not too big and not too small, it's just right. I would recommend to anyone. This is a great speaker and you won't regret it.

Noisy neighbor no longer an issue
In my neighborhood, most of us have a mutual understanding. It's totally cool to play your music outdoors, provided it isn't so loud we can literally hear the bassline through our walls. Most of us follow that rule, myself included. But then we all got stuck at home and one guy couldn't go to the gym anymore. So he decided he would do the next best thing and blast three Weeknd songs on repeat every day for several hours. Granted, there were probably some other songs in between, but the frequency of how often he played "Can't Feel my Face" and all of The Weeknd's other soft, boring, sterile songs was just so much, they've been permanently embedded into my subconscious. You see, unlike the rest of us who use little Bluetooth speakers whose sound barely travels the distance of our backyards, he would use an actual boombox setup. After nearly three months of this nonsense, I had enough. So I bought this monstrosity. To test it, during one of his sessions, I placed it outside, facing in his direction, put on some of the most obnoxious sounding trance I could find, and cranked it up. It took about two songs for him to give it up and go back inside. The method spread to the rest of the neighborhood. Now, when he comes out and plays his music too loudly, one of us will go outside and blast something we know is bound to kill his vibe. Nothing is as loud as this speaker, but it has gotten the job done. He's no longer much of a nuisance anymore. Considering he's the obvious type, I doubt he realizes the rest of us were retaliating against him and simply think we're all a bunch of jerks. Whatever works, though.Oh, as for the speaker? Sounds great, lasts long, and the phone app is intuitive. Definitely worth the price!
