Arrived all but completely broken/crushed. Only two whole pods in the package. I would not recommend if you are looking for whole anise.

Vibrant scent, lovely stars with very few broken, one star goes a long way for tea.. I made a dozen glasses of tea by reusing one star and my muddler with hot water! Excellent value and no sulfur or stinky preservatives.

I purchased in March of 2021 (stated shelf life is 24 months), and stored it in an airtight jar, out of direct sunlight. I’m not entirely sure when it started molding, but when I opened it late January 2022, it was moldy.

I wish I could get my money back. This tastes nothing like star anise. It is bland, and when brewed in tea tastes like plastic. I smelled it and it didnt have the usual star anise smell, it was more like processed plastic. I thought maybe it wouldnt taste that way once i brewed it. Nope. Wrong. Do not waste your money!

Appears to be a slow moving commodity from a distributor ... says 2 yr shelf-life with about 1 1/2 yrs left for freshness ... No confidence in this product for longer-term storage ...

Gorgeous star anise--perfect to float in a cup of mulled cider or spiced cranberry juice. I used a recipe I found this fall, that requires anise and cardamon pods, no sugar. LOVE the flavor and the look. Very good flavor.

The stars were intact and not broken, they are very fragrant , my husband smelled them and they were sealed on the counter . I would recommend .

came in great condition! nothing was crushed or stale or moldy. perfectly whole seeds with fresh and vibrant flavour for a decent price. love love love! definitely buying more when i run out
