It makes perfect sense now
This little book is a quick, easy read with a lot of good common sense information about magnesium and other minerals. Human beings are biochemically unique individuals, and the information in this book won't produce the same results for everyone, but my BP started coming down within a day or two of beginning magnesium supplements. It's great information at a great price.

Simple Solution for High Blood Pressure
This book totally resolved my BP problem. No more BP meds, which I couldn't take because of the side effects. It helped point out what I was missing in my diet and I figured out why that had happened. A gem of a book. Read it.

Excellent overview and springboard for discussions w/your doctor
There's enough research in this small book to provide a basis for discussion w/your Dr. concerning supplementation with magnesium. I take 3 Magnesium Taurate (from Cardiovascular Research) per day for heart health and also sleep. It has definetly helped keep me asleep without my usual awakenings. (Chelated mag. is absorbed w/o diarhea) I wish the book was updated with the latest on the various types/brands of magnesium but is surely contains enough info to decide if you may benefit from supplementation.

Good Read!
This book is informative! I really like Dr Jay Cohen, the author. He tells his story of his sickness and all the traditional medicine he took for years, and then how he found that magnesium was his answer. He's very honest, knowledgeable, and approaches the subject with his expertise in medicine. I also like the fact he tells you what kind of magnesium he feels works best and the dosage. He also is frank in saying it works for alot of people but not everyone. I respect his research and his opinion. I would recommend this book to anyone who is searching for alternative answers to traditional medicine!

WORTHWILE GOOD BOOK, BUT SHOULE HAVE BEEN GREAT
If the author had not included an admonition to see your doctor on every page, this short book would have gotten a five star rating form me. Seems all necessary information about magnesium deficiency as a very common cause of high blood pressure, and supplimentation as always a beneficial treatment (the information) is there; and in very readable form.- Very easy to use automated blood pressure monitors sell for an average price of fifty dollars (Price range at Walmart is from around $25.oo to $90.oo, get the job done, and are used in more or less half of doctors offices.- All allopathic doctors (most doctors of medicine) are taught throughout medical school to totally disrespect all of alternative health.- Your doctors business, his only business relative to high blood pressure, is to to sell expensive tests, and even more by expensive perscription only drugs. His education rarely goes beyond these perscripting drugs and the tests that help sell them.- These perscription drugs have such prevalent and hard to tollerate side effects that half of hypertensives give up on them withen the first year.One of these side effects is seems to be higher blood pressure once you quit. Another side effect experienced by many, if not most, patients is dizzy spells, don't fall down stairs,etc. Some people find that their blood pressure meds make exercise impossible. To me PART OF THE DEFINITION OF BY PERSCRIPTION ONLY IS GUARANTEED TOXIC OR OTHERWISE DANGEROUS. Once again, your doctors BUSINESS is selling these pills.- Bottom line, your best bet, if you have essential hypertension, is to handle it yourself with weight loss, nutritional suppliments, natural herbals, and magnesium supplimentation (by mouth and topical).

A wonderful book for anyone with high blood pressure
A wonderful book for anyone with high blood pressure. You may be taking way too much medication, and some of it, such as diuretics, may even contribute to Alzheimer's disease and high cholesterol. I have intestinal problems that prevent my body from absorbing magnesium, and after I started taking magnesium taurate, not only did I feel better, but I was able to stop taking half my blood pressure medication. Then I read this book and found out why. I have given copies to a friend who is a nurse practitioner, and to my doctor. It is a safe and sane way to lower your blood pressure. Just be sure you are closely monitored by your doctor and with a home blood pressure kit. You may not be able to get off all your meds, but you just might lower the amount you need. As for side effects, I stopped having migraines, my feet quit hurting, and my achy back is well now.

Quick read- Critically Important to Health!
This is a quick, down and dirty explanation of WHY we all need to understand Magnesium in the body. The HEART is only one aspect of major health issues that can be eased with adequate magnesium (Red Blood Cell levels- not serum levels). A very short book- no one has an excuse for not reading and learning about their own health! AND Dr. Cohen wrote this so that DOCTORS will also not have an excuse to learn about the importance of magnesium to heart health.

Great Guide
A thoughtful and insightful explanation on how various nutritional elements interact. Having taken magnesium for leg cramps for some time, have learned how to get maximum benefits with minor adjustments. Love this little book and recommend it to anyone who is serious about their health.

You can't call it a book! Actually a small booklet. Even in those few pages, the author has nothing much to say, and goes no repeating the same lines over and over again. He could have actually put the whole thing in probably just a paragraph.

I spent two years trying to lower my blood pressure. Read this book and took magnesium and within 24 hours my blood pressure was normal and has been ever since. What a simple solution to a huge problem.
