Quick start seeds, sturdy stalks, beautiful blooms!
I’m a casual garden hobbyist, work full time, so it’s important for me to find easy to plant, easy to grow type of seeds. Half of the Sunny Bunch Hybrid seeds I started indoors, half direct sow. Quick growth to indoor seedlings, but did poorly when transplanted. Out of the 12 seeds planted directly outside, only 3 grew. The lucky trio, however, have become the highlight of my little garden. They have large, lovely bright yellow blooms on thick, sturdy stalks. I’m surprised they have not needed any stakes. They do need quite a bit of daily watering for the first few days, but these blooms were unfazed by the103-104 degree California heat in July! I’ve compared this variety with my other sunflowers and decided to buy it again. I like their smaller height, the quick start on the seedlings and above all, the prolific number of cut flowers on just 3 plants makes it a promising first attempt.

Nice very tall sunflowers!
These are very nice sunflowers. Virtually all the seeds sprouted, and those that escaped the local rabbits did better with more sun exposure. I transplanted ones that were in the shade into a sunny area after the plants were several feet tall. I know this is not what is suggested. By the end of the summer, all the plants grew to 8 to 12 feet in height, those with more sun early did better. Many bees stopped by. Several of the plants did bend and grow at an angle with wind and rain, but none broke or fell over. I did consider staking the stalks, but to be effective, this would require a very tall and strong stake and I do not think this is necessary. They look very nice and I will plant more next year. They created a bit of a hedge affect and blocked plants underneath from receiving much sun - something to think about when selecting a location.

So far so good.
Last year I planted mammoth sunflowers and had one grow to 10' tall and i thought that was tall. I searched around and they say these American Giants get even taller so I wanted to try them out. I originally bought a small pack from a store that only had 7 seeds in it and only two sprouted and those looked funny so I bought these seeds instead. I planted a few seeds and so far they have all sprouted. I did have a couple that got powdery mildew on the top leaves so i pulled them and started over because it was early enough and the plants werent even a foot tall yet. They are only around 4' tall so far but they are growing well. One planted even has two heads which i've never seen before so cant wait to see how that one turns out. I'll try and update at the end of the season with how tall they got.

These are no kongs, not even close
I purchased these and they are not kong! I've grown kongs several times over the years and these are not them, they have developed only 1 flower head with no side branching at all....highly disappointed is an understatement....I think I may have overpaid for mammoth Russians....do no recommend

Brown thumb strikes again!
I think the birds might give this product more stars than me because they ate the seeds. Not the company's fault, but I maybe got 4-5 plants. When they sprouted they grew easily. Next year, sunflowers! Next year!

Disappointing Sunflowers
Overall these seeds/plants were a disappointment. First, in a package of 50 seeds you would expect to get a few extra; My package had 49. Let me first say that I am an experienced gardener for over 50 years and I used top quality soil, ect. Of those 49 perhaps 40 produced good seedlings. Whereas these plants were advertised to reach 12-14 feet tall none my plants grew to reach over about 6 feet tall. After the main heads had bloomed and the petals fallen off, but before the seeds had completely formed, the weight of the heads caused many of the plants to break about half-way up. I'll be trying other seeds next year.

Easy and Fun to Grow
These came up and were a lot of fun to grow. Note that the packet is a mixture of sunflower varieties ranging from medium to towering giants, so they germinate at differing rates. Some came up within a week, others two weeks or even a bit longer. I’m glad I didn’t give up. I had limited space for these, but two of them were enormous, tree-like plants with enormous flower heads a foot wide. The birds and other pollinators enjoyed these flowers as much as I did.
