Overpriced to make a 1/2 cup of 1st batch
One pack makes only 1/2 cup for the first batch and needs to propagate more. If you are looking for more for the first batch, then you need to purchase more packs. However, it eventually died at 4th batch.... Not happy... sigh....

Not happy😢
I have been making Japanese Caspian Sea yogurt (from Fujicco) for a long time and it recently died so I made an attempt to make a new yogurt batch with their culture. It came (only one) in a small envelope and you had to go to website for instructions. I followed instructions but found them to be unfriendly and vague, especially the time required 24-48 hours? It did not work even from the very beginning. It was too watery but it said keep going. It seemed to me it died right away. The packet is now gone. I will not order again.

Not Caspian Sea Yogurt!
Great news is that this culture makes perfectly good yogurt. Bad news is that is not the Japanese Caspian Sea yogurt as advertised. It doesn’t have the signature ropey consistency. Just normal plain yogurt. Little disappointed.
