One of the best instant coconut chutney powders available in the market. I've been using this for a very long time now with idlis and dosas. Worth buying it.

Does the job, but flavour is not really much close to what you can get fresh from a proper eatery/restaurant. The coconut smell is a tad too strong also compared to normal chutney that you get at a shop. Decent and one can make do with it, but this is not really close to replicating the taste of the original chutney

It is handy when you want extra ready made chutney for when you order a dosa or idli and they always skimp on the chutneys.

Every time we cooked some South-Indian dish in our home such as dosa, idli, uttapam, we always craved the chutneys. Homemade chutney is very difficult to make plus very difficult to achieve the best taste. Found this product on Amazon. Delicious, spicy, fresh chutney made just by adding water. Everyone in the family liked it very much. You can vary water consistency as it suits you. If you like more solid chutney, put less water. This chutney has made our South-Indian meals much tastier. This is similar to the chutneys we eat outside but much more fresher! The only downside I guess is the price. The price is high for the quantity. Could have been a little lower. All in all, a must-try!

It is not very cost effective. Maybe 2-3 tablespoons per person with some water to make a reasonable serving. Cost per serving is high. Taste is okay, do not find much of coconut smell.

Do not buy it. I love this chuttney so mush that's why I purchased it but unfortunately it is just bland and too spicy. Also it creates a lot of lumps. Totally worthless product. Do not buy it.

There are pros and cons. First the pros. 1. It's easy to mix. Just add water. 2. The taste is near perfect to the one prepared in a restaurant. 3. It has the consistency and texture of the white coconut chutney. Now for the cons: 1. The price is very high. 2. The spice level is also high. As you can see the pros outweigh the cons. However, if the cons can be fixed, it will be better and this chutney will have more takers. I'm buying this again only because I am trying to reduce the food preparation workload. It gives a good taste for the effort required to put in it. It may not be the same as your mother makes but it will do for me during COVID19 times especially when it's a burden to sometimes source the right ingredients. I am slowly becoming a fan of Urban Platter. I have tried their other products as well.
