Tim Holtz Idea-ology Hinges, 4 Hinges and 16 Fasteners, Antique Nickel Finish, TH93075

I really liked everything about. Perfect size, great price, well made and super easy to use.

I bought these to be decorative hinges on cabinets, & thought I understood from the description that they are for decor in crafty projects. So I bought them, & bought sturdy hinges that went inside, but ugly. My mistake, that these are really tiny, in case anyone else makes the same mistake, really tiny enough for a schoolhouse cabinet! But they're just as beautiful as they look & my mistake for not reading more carefully, so I kept them, & though I haven't figured out what to use them on yet, they are as described, beautifully crafted & I think look beautiful on a size that they were intended for. So I recommend, & in case you might be in a hurry & skimming for bigger cabinet hinges, just wanted to leave a heads up for any other "like me" out there. But again, they're so beautiful, just as they look!!!

The only problem I have with these is that they come only with brads to attach them to the project. I use them on wood boxes and brads won't cut it. Thank the Lord that I have small nails and screws. Otherwise functional and as pictured and described. Arrived quickly.

These hinges (4, 2 small, 2medium)are Siver in color with a dark wash of black. Because it's metal it shines except where the wash gathered. Giving it an antiqued look by add black patine. Each is sucured by 2 pins at each end of the hinge. That is we're the problem lies. For paper it's fine, but when using on metal you want to get wood screens. They add a unique touch of elegance. The are cast metal so there is deptband weight you will not find on stamped hinges. Just so you know there are other items that you can mix ans match eclectically .

I originally purchased these hinges to have as a back-up whenever I might need some for the altered art projects I make. I ended up using one of the larger hinges to recreate a Victrola Phonograph by Nicole Eccles (project link:[...]). If you look at her images, the hinge came in handy for attaching the arm to the base of the phonograph. If you like the steampunk-vintage-antique looking style of Tim Holtz as much as I do, these are awesome! Totally recommended!

Excellent hinges, but the "nails" were not actually nails. They were the split ended fasteners that are similar to what is in a paper folder. This may have been just an assumption by me that they were to be nails though.

I made a travel themed mini album, and a canvas bag to keep my album. These hinges were used to attach the handles to my craft bag. And they look cute!

Work well. Using on cigar boxes I am altering.
