My Doberman Put this Vest to the Test
We adopted my three year old Doberman, Bailey. She came with some bad habits that we are gently correcting. She was terrible on a leash. Soon after first getting her, I sustained a serious injury to my arm due to her lunging while on a leash. It was about a year before my arm fully healed. I have tried several different methods of training her and several different apparatus that were supposed to limit the amount of pulling while on a leash. Her biggest challenge is an intense prey drive. When she’s triggered she goes into lizard brain and reacts to whatever has her attention, cat, car, bike, baby in a stroller, like a kangaroo in a kick-boxing match. All the while, I hang onto her for dear life. Nothing that I’ve tried up until now has passed the Bailey Test. But this harness passed with flying colors. For the first few walks, she tried her old tricks. Man passed us on a bicycle and she reacted like a whirling dervish by Jumping and spinning in circles. A woman with a stroller went by us and she repeatedly lunged towards them. They were on the other side of the street and were in no danger. I grabbed the vest by the handle, putting an end to her acrobatics.Walks for the first few times were very brief. It took about 3 outings before she learned that her pulling, jerking, and leaps off the ground weren’t effective. The fourth walk, She and I took off from home at a very fast pace. I didn’t give her time to stop and smell the roses, or to ponder the universe. We walked about a half a mile like that and she did surprisingly well. The next time out was an improvement from the prior walk and so forth. I could never have done that with any of the apparatus that I’ve tried in the past. This vest is tough, Bailey tough! It limits a dog’s ability to pull. If you have a tug-of-war dog, a puller or jumper, keep the leash attached to the vest’s side. This gives you really good control. Bailey learned how to spin in a quick circle to move the leash so that it was easier for her to be more forceful, but I’ve also learned how to quickly set the leash in the correct position so that I have the upper hand and better control. It’s a great vest. It’s compassionate and causes my Dober-queen no harm. She gets excited when I get out the vest because she knows we’re going for a walk.

Made my day.
Oh my goodness. This vest is beyond amazing. My new rescue is 5 mos. totally untrained and strong as an ox. My last dog suffered later in life with a breathing issue caused by her pulling on her leash too hard. I will not let this happen again.I went from yesterday with him pulling me around my property to a calm dog today that was able to enjoy his walk with all his breathing unhindered.I measured him and decided on a medium. It fits perfect right now but I have the neck opening at it's largest and the chest is almost at it's largest. I will test it with the neck a little tighter to make sure it's still comfortable but from what I can see, I'll be buying him a large within a couple months. The quality of the vest a fantastic. And though I read a few reviews about them being stiff, I think it's sturdy. I don't plan on leaving it on him past his walks.A couple other points. After just one long walk, we were able to switch the contact point to the upper back and he kept walking calmly anyway. My son has one for his dominant dog and when he is over here, he leaves it on Charlie and it changes his whole demeanor. He walks around slowly and not like he has a possessive job to do.I'm super happy with this vest. And I bought a collar to match and it is super quality too. I love the quick fasteners. Very good quality.

XL runs small
I received the XL today after a returning what the diagrams would fit my Stella. Stella is a 15 month old female Rottweiler. She is 115 lbs. At first looks of the harness, I thought, this is not going to fit her, but after some adjustments and repositioning, I was able to get it to fit nicely. The harness seems to be very well made, heavy stitching and heavy duty buckles on the top of the neck and under the chest. All of which seem to work very well, considering that when Stella gets an idea in her head, she usually thinks she can do it. This has changed her mind and given me a little more control of her when we are walking. One thing i really like is that the stitches on the harness GLOW in the dark!! The string that comes with the harness that is used as a tie down on her back, is lacking and the clips attached to the ends are not quality parts. Its a really nice touch that they add the Velcro stickers to the order that says Best Friend! I think Stella and I are going to be happy with her new harness!

My Little Miscreant Challenges all Harnesses
This sweet little hell hound has gone through no less than 8 harnesses in her 10 months on this planet. Few of the replacements were due to growth. The vast majority of the replacements were entirely due to this little baby being the Bringer of Destruction and Doom to all harnesses. Generally within about a week she’s started demolishing them. This harness however was a game-changer. She wears it super comfortably all day long and feels just as comfy napping in it. Also, fun surprise I didn’t spot at first, the edges are reflective and when you shine a light on her in the dark, she looks like a float at Disney’s Main Street Electrical Parade. All joking aside, that makes me feel extra safe as she’s definitely a flight risk seeing as how she is guided jointly by her nose and by her curiosity and mischief. At least if she gets out at night, any drivers should hopefully see her. The good news here is that even while she’s flying past your perimeter guard, this harness makes her easier to catch with the handy dandy doggie handle on the top. Previous harnesses had the handle going lengthwise down the back of the harness but the cross-wise positioning on this harness makes our little jail-breaker easier to snag. I love the color, I love the Best Friend patches, and mostly I love that Zoe is cool with wearing it and much much easier to control. When she grows out of this one, I’ll definitely get another Auroth.

Looks good and does its job well!
I needed a new harness to fit my rapidly growing puppy Lab Retriever who currently weighs 22.5kgs. My initial order was for this harness in the Large size which was promptly delivered a week ago. However, this proved to be big even at its shortest fitting but would be fine in some few months' time. I decided to keep this one and ordered same in the Medium size.which arrived today. This has proved to almost fit perfectly only requiring a small adjustment on the belly strap. It's a well-built harness that secures both under the front legs as well as the chest. Imo this type of design should always be used especially on larger dogs to prevent the harness from being pulled off when dog is being stubborn or frightened and will not move. The cheaper single chest only fastener type I've been using has pulled off my dog twice and I'm not going there again! Many harnesses are advertised as no-pull types but, imo, there's no such thing. Except for perhaps a little shock-absorption when you dog is pulling hard. This harness is well padded fits nicely with no slipping when on the lead.As far as durability goes only time will tell after many months of use, but thus far, I'm well pleased with my two AUROTH harnesses. And my puppy looks contented too!

Adjustable dog harness to stop your dog pulling on the lead when u walk them
Adjustable dog harness to stop your dog pulling on the lead when u walk them. It is easy to put on your dog, u just put over their head, adjust the neck straps to the right size & then u can clip up the straps around their side once adjusted to fit. U can slide the buckles along easily to size & the side clips seem very durable as they clip together tightly. There is a metal D-ring on the back to attach a lead to & a strong handle for u to hold onto your dog when needed. I like the separate patches that read 'Best Friend' & can be stuck on to the harness with the velcro backing. The white details on the harness & straps are all fluorescent so will glow in the dark to help your dog be seen easily when u are walking them in the evening. Its made of breathable fabric so your dog wont get too hot & can be easily washed if it gets dirty. I'd recommend this as a good harness for a medium sized dog as its strong fabric with good stitching so looks like it will last a long time.

Magic
Absolutely amazing. I have an American Bully XL who weighs 90 pounds and I've worked for months to try and stop him from pulling on his lead, have tried all sorts of training collars and leads but have had very small success. The very first walk with this harness and all the pulling completely stopped, if they try and pull, due to the front clip on harness they will do a 180 spin directing themselves back to you.Was completely shocked at how it stopped the pulling, I used to dread going out sometimes because my dog is just so strong and he'd pull like world's strongest dog, but this has stopped that and made him realise he doesn't need to pull all the time and will have more fun being at my side (remember to always praise when it doesn't look like they're pulling and they purposefully walk by your side)Definitely recommend.

Be careful with the measurement chart!
I have a pitbull and so you can imagine, I needed a big size. I measured him and everything so I ordered an xl according to the measurement chart. Unfortunately, the harness came bigger than what the measurement chart described. Just letting owners know, for an adult pitbull, a Large should be good. The XL that I got is not sturdy on my pitbull at all, way too loose.
