Yoshihiro Stainless Steel Clam/ Oyster Knife

Extremely fast shipping. Looks the part but i cannot give a review on functionality as i am not planning on chucking oysters until the summer season kicks in. Seems sturdy and well built. I will propably apply a marine grade varnish to the wooden handle at which time i will be able to add a Yoshihiro (only Yoshihiro product i can financially afford unfortunately) to my knife roll.

I have found a million ways to use it.

Nothing misleading in advertising and got it as it promised and well made and easy to use.

I really appreciate it having a guard because I'm not a huge fan of holding the knife with gloves when I shuck oysters but have skinned my hands doing that quite a few times. Haven't had that happen since I got these. A few things I'm not a huge fan of though, the wood isn't very smooth or varnished, so it feels rough in areas and like I could get micro-splinters at some point. That also goes into the cleaning part, because it's all good and well when only the blade gets dirty and I can wash that well, but the porous wooden part feels like a dirty cutting board that'll never actually properly get sanitized. A bit of an issue what it's meant to process raw seafood.

Good product and works great. Used many times and no issues at all. Highly recommend. Saved a lot $$$ comparing buying it at a local store like Bed Bath and Beyond.
