Excellent MBP 15" Companion USB-C
I am very pleased with this monitor so far. I purchased this for my 15" Macbook Pro USB-C. I get perfect charging capabilities from the single USB-C/Thunderbolt cable. Even though the power is only 60w, it charges the macbook perfectly. I now have a single cord set up on my desk and it looks very clean! Image quality is very good and I am pleased with the out of the box color rendition. I do not want to calibrate my monitor even though I do heavy graphics. I find the Macbook Pro monitor handles colors perfectly and this BENQ monitor works similarly. The matte finish is ok. Some other reviews said they had fading in the image, I find that I can see edge to edge well enough. Overall I think this is a great monitor for the price providing 4K and USB-C connectivity. PROS: Charges 15" Macbook Pro Single USB-C cable set up! Organized desk. Fast connectivity with USB-C. CONS: Not very bright compared to MBP screen, but bright enough Speakers are not great, could have left them out and made the screen slimer Stand is not impressive, but works

Phenomenal quality
After reading the reviews I was kinda skeptical but this monitor is truly awesome! Great picture quality decent speakers and a good selection of ports. the 27 inch is rather large but the base is centered so it doesn't take up too much space on the desk

Nice monitor to pair with MacBook Pro
I'm sure that there are many features that I don't even know about yet. What I like: Mac friendly, size and performance after 1 week. The online user manual (see below). What I don't like: The only instructions enclosed are sketchy schematics about how to assemble the stand for the monitor or how to mount it to a wall. There was no mention of a user manual or where to locate it. Yes, I'm a neophyte, but tell me where to find the user manual.

Awesome external display for MacBook
I've only had this monitor (BenQ EW2780U) for a little more than a day. However, I've been testing different monitors to use with my '20 MacBook Pro (Intel) for several months and I have to say that this one wins the prize as my new daily driver. The picture is crisp, there are lots of customization options available via the Onscreen Display menu (OSD) and best of all (at least for me) is when connected to my MBP via a Thunderbolt port, it not only has full video and audio support, but it powers and recharges my MBP - eliminating the need to tie up a 2nd port for a power cable. I would rate this monitor 5 stars except for the few issues - none of which are showstoppers: * Confusing "Getting Started" pamphlet. If it weren't for the fact that I'd assembled so many monitors recently, I would have had to turn to YouTube to figure out how to attach the base to the display. * No USB-C Thunderbolt cable included - only an HDMI to HDMI. Someone new to using a Thunderbolt display may not realize that not all USB-C cables will provide support for data, audio, video concurrently. * No readily accessible volume knob - you have to access the volume controls using the toggle button on the back/right side of the display. * No downstream USB ports

I’m extremely happy with my screen!
After, return a well known brand screen and searching for a good screen that would make a friendly match with my macbook pro M1, I found this fantastic monitor. Beautiful clear picture, the value for money is excellent!

I wanted to fall in love
I needed a replacement for my old 27-inch Thunderbolt Display because I really wanted to get a higher DPI to use for mobile development. I find that having a large display helps with having Xcode and Safari open side-by-side when getting stuff done, and when I read that this display offered USB-C compatibility for my 16-inch MacBook Pro, I jumped at the chance to score one before I the sold out. Dunno, I guess it's because of the times we're in that people are buying up high end monitors like crazy to work from home. I love to work from home on large displays and have most of the features of a more expensive LG Ultrafine display without paying for the premium. I was not phased by the lack of a webcam, because most third-party monitors do not include them anyway, so I will not factor that into my review. The good: - One-cable, USB-C support; this is probably the best feature since I can use this with my Mac easily and charge at (albeit) 60W - Two HDMI inputs; I use my Nintendo Switch and Playstation 4 Pro with this monitor at my desk and everything works fantastically...no complaints there - DisplayPort (duh) input; I use an eGPU for PC gaming through Windows Bootcamp and this monitor works incredibly for that purpose - Built-in speakers; I found many people here complain that the speakers weren't the best, but maybe because I'm coming from the Mac world where monitor speakers are sorta only decent I found them to be more than adequate. The bass and treble is fine. The highs, lows, and mids are fine. I'm just happy I don't have to spend more on an extra set of speakers. This is a nicely appreciated feature. - HDRi; I found this feature to be super neat. Yes, it's not "real" HDR, but it gets the job done when I watch HDR content or play supported HDR games such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019)/Warzone - Blue Light filtering; I was able to get this to work with Windows Bootcamp just fine, but was unable to get it work while the monitor was hooked up to macOS. Maybe it has something to do with DisplayPort or HDMI. No idea. It's not a huge dealbreaker for me, as I use flux.app on my Mac anyway. The not so good: - Light bleed; This was by far the most puzzling and disappointing aspect of this display. I really really REALLY want to absolutely love this display. I will contend, however, that the fact that there exists so much light bleed on my monitor to be very disappointing. I was not able to snag this under any sale or special promotion, so the fact that I spent upwards of nearly $600 on a monitor with this much light bleed is frankly irritating, to say the least. Overall: The features this monitor provides makes it a decent companion for those that wish to productively get work done or game with either Windows PC or macOS systems. It has a fairly good color accuracy, with support for DCI-P3 and sRGB specs well within the norm for most semi-professional or amateur photographers and videographers. I am absolutely stunned by the sharpness and clarity of the 4K@60Hz display and love the fact that I can switch between devices at the drop of a hat. If it weren't for the fact that there is admittedly intense corner light bleeding, I would give this unit 5/5 stars. It just falls short of what I would call "BenQ" quality, and for nearly $600, it should be perfect. I intended to use this with apps in full screen mode, but the bleeding is honestly very distracting, so I'm debating on looking at other options in the search for something that may better align to my personal needs.

This is a fantastic monitor. Using it for a couple weeks now with my 2020 MacBook Pro 13” and although it’s not quite as bright as the Macs screen, I certainly am not goin to complain about it. Also has a high enough resolution that if I go right to the highest end, my half decent eyes can barely read the text. Love it, thanks.
