Kind of flimsy.
I haven't any battery issues just yet, but I do notice that these will fall off of whatever you attache them to at the slightest bit of stress. The connection from the light to the hook is a soft plastic oval - with a cut in it to allow removal of the light (?) although I don't know you'd want to take the light off and leave the hook in place. What ends up happening is that the light will work it's way off this oval and end up on the ground as you continue to walk away.I fixed this with a bit of tape, so far, but I thought these might be a bit more sturdy than this. Also, the "light" comes from two LED's near the bottom third of the plastic housing, so the whole device does not actually illuminate. To be honest, you might get better light from a standard bicycle light with a standard clip connector.I'll use it for now, as something is better than nothing, but will be looking for a more suitable replacement soon.NiteRider usually has some good lights that would easily fit on a camelback or ruck.

Excellent backup lights for emergencies
These little lights are perfect especially to carry as backup lights. I ride my bike to do errands and go to the gym. Sometimes I am accidentally caught out after dark without all my usual might riding equipment. For this reason I need to have dependable yet very small, light-weight lights that I always keep stashed in my bike bag. These lights are very flat, which makes them easy to pack. They also take a little bit of effort to turn on. This is good because other lights that I have used as my backups are so easy to turn on that movements of items in my bag turn them on. I don't realize this until weeks or months later when I dig out the lights in an emergency only to find the batteries are dead. The lights are nice and bright. The white one will not light up the road ahead, but at least people can see me heading their way.

Unique Bike Lights!
I really liked these when I got them, as they are THE most unique bike lights I have EVER seen! The rear one is mounted on my rack, and can't be seen unless it's on. While the front one is mounted on top of my shock fork. They ARE great, though. Only problem, is that the rear one seems to have a connection problem. I went for a ride recently, and left with the rear "eyes" blinking, when I arrived home, only ONE was blinking. I bopped it lightly, and it worked again. All I did with it was commuting on asphalt roads. Anyway, I think it was just me. They may be small, but they are BRIGHT! They WILL get you noticed!

Worth it.
My son has the white one on his backpack for darker school mornings when he's walking to the bus stop. They have a setting that blinks annoyingly and one that stays lit solid. We prefer the solid. I just wish they sold them in packs of just red or just white. We never ever use the red and I've tried freeing the battery from the red to add it to the white one ... it completely breaks the light. Still, we've only needed to buy this once a year. Well worth it for a safety precaution.

Batteries DoA
I bought two pairs of these flashers, and one out of each pair had batteries that were dead on arrival. The batteries are two 3v CR 1220 lithium cells, which are not only expensive and difficult to replace, but on top of that, are held clipped together with a little piece of copper that is VERY loosely soldered to the circuit- one of these clips simply fell off one of the units as soon as I opened it. I don't actually own a soldering iron, and am debating whether it's worth borrowing one from a friend just to try and fix this piece of clearly-meant-to-be-disposable crud. That said, the ones with working batteries are functioning ok, and if you run into the same problem, Amazon's return policy might cover the DoA ones.

Very bright light
For the past few weeks I have been trying out different clip on flashing lights. My goal was to keep track of my 4 dogs in the darkness of Northern Minnesota. This one passed the test. It's larger than some of the clip on lights are but it works well. In a previous review by someone else it was mentioned that the clip doesn't stay on well, that was noticed. The second time in use the clip did separate from the light, this was remedied by using a dab of supper glue to connect the plastic eye. All in all this is a very nice and useful item.

Very cool look
These are very cool accessories. The lights are very bright... How to tell... Step away 30-40 feet and you will see just how much they illuminate the bike at night. Add to that tha "cool" factor and well worth the money spent. If you are looking to illuminate your path when riding tho, these aren't your lights. Get a serious headlight. But to have others see you these are much cooler then the reflectors that come with most bikes as OEM.Be aware they strap with bungee like rubber and would be stolen in a heartbeat in any urban environment.Hence the 4 stars...

decent but not perfect
These were challenging to snap onto my spokes, which may vary by bike, I suppose. My main critique is that a few of them have broken off an inch or two. Not sure how that happened -- perhaps they partially popped off because they were so tight and snapped in the process? Also, needless to say, these are less reflective when they get dirty....but I'm still glad to enhance visibility any way I can and having reflective spokes is one way to do that.

Not as good as my originals
I had some of these on another bike. On the old ones (not bought from here, but official 'Skully' brand), the back of the skull had a lift up section and firm clip that housed the batteries. On these, you have to stretch and remove the whole silicon 'skull' section to reveal a white plastic skull with two LED bulbs as the eyes. These aren't attached that well, so it is very easy to dislodge the 'eyes' when trying to fit the silicon skull cover back on.I wouldn't buy these ones again - I would search out the proper 'Skully' branded ones with a standard type of battery access that does not involve nearly wrecking the entire light.
