🍽️ Slow down, savor the flavor!
With this stainless steel electric slow cooker, you can be out all day and come home to a home-cooked meal, almost like you have your own personal chef. Simply set the programmable LCD screen digital timer for up to 20 hours and your food cooks slowly on its own, bringing out all those delicious flavors. If you end up staying out longer, the automatic keep warm function kicks in and keeps your food warm for 6 hours, so it’s ready to serve whenever you’re ready to eat. Its ceramic insert and tempered glass lid retain heat and moisture to maintain the perfect texture. The integrated riveted handles let you take it from countertop to tabletop and use it as its own serving dish. At 6.5 quarts, it’s big enough to make appetizers for everyone at your next watch party.

Cooks without overcooking.
I spent days reading reviews and debating over what to buy. I hated to pay so much more for a slow cooker, but I had been through several cheap ones in just a couple of years so I finally decided to push the "add to cart" button despite the high price tag. I am glad I did. There are a variety of slow cookers available for a reason, so this one will not fit everybody, but I will highlight why it works for me. Other's reviews helped me find the right one so I figure I should do one. I fretted over size. Since we are only a family of 3, I don't really need 6.5 quarts for everything, but for a roast or corned beef the bigger size is a must. I have also read ovals cook better than round for roast-like meat. So those two factors were what settled me on size. I have found the slow cooker does just fine when I cook smaller batches like soup. I do not regret the bigger size.I have had bad luck with dials. Either they fall off or get stripped so you don't know what temperature you are cooking at. I wanted a different way of selecting temperatures. The push button system is each to use and you can choose high or low and adjust time. I like that it automatically switches to cool. That was never a feature that came on my other models so I did not realize how much I would like having that.Besides dials not working, I have had a handle break off so I did look at construction. This one looks solid. The handles are not going to ever fall off. That is good because slow cookers can be heavy. The only ding I gave it was a durability star and I wish I could have only done a half star. The lid kinda slides around a bit. It works fine and does not seem to loose heat. I store mine so appearance does not really matter to me, but I would consider it a nice looking kitchen appliance. The final reason I am super happy with this one is how it cooks. My last slow cooker had boiling or scalding for temperatures. I was so frustrated with burned edges and scrubbing the insert clean. I don't want the waste of liners or the unknown of non-sticks. The has 3 distinct temperatures with the warm, high and low. The high is high without the burnt edges. The one time I did not have enough liquid and dried the edges out, the insert cleaned up nicely.Overall, I am quite happy. I hope it lives up to All Clad's reputation and works for years to come. This review is based off a few months of use.

High quality and perfect temperature
I have another brand of slow cooker. The All-Clad is a bit more expensive but worth it. It cooks on Low at roughly 180 degrees and looks handsome while doing it.Be sure to purchase Lynn Alley's cookbooks as the recipes are knock-your-socks-off tasty. We made the Pork Stew in Tomatillo Sauce and nearly fell out of our chairs.All-Clad makes great stuff, so it's no surprise that this cooker would get many 5 star ratings.____________________Update: The ceramic crock cracked on the first one and it was badly warped on the replacement. So I spent the extra $100 for the same brand with the aluminum insert. The aluminum is easier to clean and has the exact same performance. I leave my review at 5 stars because of the excellent performance we got out of this model of slow cooker. Had we had better luck with the insert, I wouldn't have had to upgrade. Amazon.com, as usual, excelled in their customer service.

My favorite appliance!
I'm sorry so many people have had trouble with their All-Clad Slow Cookers. My All-Clad Slow Cooker has performed flawlessly with regular use ever since I got it two or three years ago. I bought it after I tried to cook split pea soup in my ancient Rival Crock Pot and it was too small for the ham bone. After a trip to the butcher to get the ham bone cut in half I decided to find a larger, oval slow cooker and this one was well reviewed in Cooks Illustrated. Its large capacity has been perfect for big batches of soups and stews. I use it year-round, maybe two to three times a month in the warmer months and more often in the colder ones; it makes wonderful fall and wintertime "comfort" food and keeps the kitchen cool in the summer time. I prefer to use the low setting. The temperature on low is just right for long, slow cooking for tender falling-off-the-bone meats and anything that needs to stay below boiling. With the old Rival Crock Pot I used to start everything on high for an hour and then switch to low. This hasn't been necessary with the All-Clad. Added bonus: the kitchen fills with wonderful aromas!I like the glass lid - no need to remove it to see how things are cooking. I never put the insert in the dishwasher and always wait until it cools before soaking and hand washing. I still have the original ceramic insert which has never cracked and always cleans up easily after a brief soak in hot sudsy water. My husband agrees this is one of the best kitchen purchases we've ever made!

Love this cooker.
By far the best slow cooker I’ve had to date. Looks beautiful and works like a charm. Being able to adjust the cooking time up or down is a great feature and the extra long cook times make it possible to actually sear your meats and put it all in and start cooking the night before instead of having to do everything in the morning before you leave for work. It’s built well and i expect this to be the last cooker I’ll ever need.

I will never, ever buy another product from All-Clad
I bought this slow cooker around Christmas in 2015, after my last slowcooker died. [That one was a basic GE model I bought from Walmart for 39 dollars and it lasted 7 years.] I thought that if I splurge on an expensive, high end, high quality, premium brand product like this one I will have a better product that will last at least as long, while doing better job at cooking. Boy, was I wrong. The All-clad slowcooker's electronic board died after 5 months of me using it about once per week. Since it was still in warranty, I dropped it off at the company's service department. It All-Clad 34 days to ship it back to me. And I was shocked to find out that they had replaced my ceramic insert with a much older and heavily used unit that was covered in microcracks. Not only that but it had about a square inch of mold in 3 places on the inside. Even worse, while the service invoice was saying that my electronic board was changed and tested, all the buttons were recessed and the start button didn't even work. And so I have had to drive back to the service center and drop it off again. About a week later I got a phone call from their most senior technician who told me that the new board was not pushed all the way in by a junior technician. And then he asked me to drive back 50 kilometers to pick it up. I refused and asked them to ship it to my home. After a lot of wrangling and me asking to speak to the manager, they finally agreed. And, thus, about 45 days after my original problem I finally had the slow cooker fixed and back in my hands. They even replaced my ceramic insert with a new one, though they didn't replace the actual slowcooker. What is worse is that I also discovered that the rubber insulation on my slowcooker now has a big half an inch crack in it. But honestly, I have lost any respect for this company now and have no desire to deal with their incompetent technicians and obnoxious customer services reps. So I will just never ever buy another product from All-Clad.
