Does it keep the headboard from hitting wall during intimacy?

It adheres to both the back of headboard and the wall thus preventing the headboard from banging the wall!

My bed's in front of a large sliding window that doesn't open or go anywhere. Could I use these against a window or would it likely damage the window?

I would not use them against a window. I’m pretty sure that they will break the window at some time. Beds and their frame move much more than most realize. I would put a sheet of plywood across the window and and rest the headboard stoppers against it….as discreetly as possible.
