Solar Head Lamp

This company makes another solar device I have more than one of---The Mammoth---which deserves more stars than these ratings allow. Their headlamp does not measure up.A customary red to green led signal---indicating when charging is complete--- is, BY DESIGN, entirely inoperable for all solar charging. Hybridlight took more than 10 days to write back and advise me of that design defect when I was puzzled about why the led always indicated the solar panel was still working on charging the battery. Even when plugged into a USB cord to charge, the led charging signal was unreliable, but it will never work with the plug-in solar panel.Too important to me to know when a battery is fully charged. Amazon was good enough to take it back.

I'm a fan of Hybrid Light, and this headlamp lives up to the rep. Bright and good battery life, and the small solar panel actually works. I ran the lamp down entirely dead, and attached the solar panel and left it in the back window of my car during an afternoon out of town shopping trip. When we got home, the light was charged enough the light was as bright as when charged with the wall charger.

headlight setup to use small included solar usb output charger; this was a bit slow so I use that to charge my bluetooth during work hours while it sits on the dash in the sun - that works fine; I use a 4x5 usb solar panel and the headlamp charges faster. running to exhaustion takes several hours so that's good. Haven't opened up the unit to see if its a 123 type rechargable or smaller like a 14xxx type. May end up pairing this with a Goal Zero with usb output for long backpacking trips after I get comfortable with it.

I have not tested these under natural disaster circumstances yet (got it for the next hurricane that wipes us out again) but it charges up well and the charging panel is nicely small. The light is a little bulky, but its not too bothersome while it's on my head

I use this primarily for climbing out of tree stands and making my way back from in the woods. I know the trails pretty well, but after a windstorm or some such, I like to be able to see where new holes or tree falls might be. This does the trick, from about 20 yards out. Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to track and dress an animal in the dark after purchasing this, but as soon as I do (fingers crossed) I will update.

No complaints. Great quality especially for the price. The solar panel works and the light is really bright, i would recommend it.

je suis très déçu de mon achat. la lampe n'a jamais fonctionner. j'ai pourtant suivi les instructions sur le papier. j'ai essayé de la charger de toutes les manières et aucune ne fonctionnait. quand j'ai écrit au vendeur pour recevoir de l'aide, il m'a répondu de m'adresse à la compagnie directement. perte de temps et d'argent! de plus, le produit n'est pas de consistance très solide. le chargeur est léger et j'avais peur de le briser en le manipulant.
