The author put me at ease while reading though the various options and routes I can take when dying my own hair. It’s an honest approach with a sense of humor to DIY hair dye. The author provides clear step-by-step directions on coloring hair from temporary to semi-permanent options and offers recommendations on products to use; there’s no guessing on what to buy for the job. Not only is the book well organized with plenty of photos that are extremely helpful to reference, it’s pretty to look at too. After reading this book, I’m confident I could dye my hair at home…I see pink hair in my future!

DIY Dye is the perfect book if you are looking to color your hair inexpensively. The book is filled with easy, step-by-step instructions and helpful full color photographs. As someone who tries to limit the amount of chemicals my body is exposed to, I really like the natural options for color and highlights the book lays out. DYI Dye makes it easy to try different techniques at home like ombre and streaks with easy to follow instructions. I would really recommend this book to anyone that likes to experiment with their hair color at home!

I bought this book thinking it would teach me how to make my own dyes in the vein of the Foxfire series teaching your to live holistically. Although disappointed at first, I then found out that it involved the Kool-Aid dye method.I have always wondered how it was done and now I know.I give this book 5 stars for cheap and easy methods on hair dye.

I am honestly one of those who's clueless when it comes to hair. Unfortunately I also like to be adventurous with it. This book is perfect for DIY-dummies like myself: step-by-step style, reasonable products to use, and who would've thought henna could look this good!

I dye my hair colors all the time and this book was really helpful with different techniques and products, i would definitely recommend this product to people who dye there hair. if you have never dyed your hair a bright color before i recommend getting this book as a good start to know what you are doing. Very helpful.

I thought I was buying actual dye my daughter was very disappointed it was not described enough to recognise the difference
