I am almost finished with this book, it has a great baseline of study knowledge and is pretty concise when necessary. My issue with this book is that it has many grammatical and spelling errors which often makes it hard to flow while reading.

Ehh............
Like others have already stated, the book does contain numerous typos. I did not really like how the book jumped from century to century, one minute you reading about Genghis Khan then the next paragraph is about the US civil rights movement. Anyways, I studied the book from cover to cover and I made flash cards. I failed the test with a score of 229, a score of 240 is needed to pass. The test however was extremely difficult, most of the topics that you would think that would be on this test was not. I have decided to not take this test again because in all honesty I believe that there is no way that you can really prepare for it. I was an accounting major in college so I will be taking the Business Education exam next, I believe I stand a much better chance at passing that exam.

I would recommend the AP study cards also for the subjects
A lot more helpful then my previous study materials. I would recommend the AP study cards also for the subjects.

I was turned off from the start by its poor writing--no logical flow to the sentences or overarching narrative ...
Besides just being poorly written, it contains grievous factual errors. For example, the book says "the events leading to World War I captivated Texans from the beginning to the sinking of the Maine in 1915." Um, that would be the Lusitania. The Maine was sunk in 1898! I can't believe this book was published to help teachers prepare for certification. Also, I saw somebody else mentioned that the book states NATO was created in response to the Warsaw Pact. No, it was the Warsaw Pact that was created in response to NATO. These are just the errors that I have come across so far in the book. I was turned off from the start by its poor writing--no logical flow to the sentences or overarching narrative that contextualizes the facts. Everything is told in such a choppy manner, with no relation as to why one sentence leads to another. The tests are also bad. Not only are the questions framed awkwardly at times, but there are some printing errors as well. For instance, on question 23 on the first test, one answer flows directly into another: "B. The Truman Doctrine assisted with economic recovery of Eastern Europe and the Marshall C. Plan provided funding to defeat communist aggression in Greece and Turkey." Answer B ran right into answer C. For me, these careless errors are unconscionable. And I would recommend that the publishers recall these books.
