Active Pets Dog Car Seat Cover - Waterproof Cotton Seat Protector for Cars, SUVs, Trucks - Universal Fit - XL, Black

We have purchased two of these dog car seat covers. They are easy to put in and take out of the car. They seem to hold up well with daily use by our medium size dog and do fine protecting the car seat. You should not however put them in the washing machine. We did and it caused the protective material to flake off. The best way we find to clean them is to spread them out on the driveway and hose them off, scrub with a long handle brush or broom and a little Dawn. They air dry quickly.

OVERALL:I would recommend this seat cover for the size, price, and ease-of-installation. I trust this thing to keep my car clean and to keep the dogs safely in the back seat. 2 years in and so far so good!SIZING:This seat cover fits the backseat of my SUV, covering the sides of the seats too.INSTALLATION:Very fast and easy to understand. The cover clips around your headrests and are not too bulky.COMFORT:The material is not soft and is a bit tougher so it can catch liquid/hair etc, but all the dogs I've had use it haven't seemed to mind!This is an especially great design for dogs who like head/chin support (see: photo of white dog using the hammock function every time we go for a ride).CLEANING:I haven't had to clean up any liquid accidents on this yet. The seat cover does hold onto dog hair pretty strongly. This feature is great for keeping your car clean, but you will need to vacuum it or at least change into something you don't mind getting a little dog hairy when you want to remove the cover.

Update: I was contacted by Active Pets and they are refunding the money for ripped seat cover. I was willing to give them another chance because we have the same seat cover in my husband’s truck and it has held up very well. I’m glad I did and that is why I have upped the rating to 4 stars.The good: The seat cover arrived quickly and nicely packaged. It was rather easy to install and the material seems of good quality and would do what it’s supposed to, if it lasted. The bad: It ripped during the first use. I took my dog to the vet right after I installed it and sometime during the drive there or home it ripped! It ripped right at the seam of the part that goes up the back of the front seats and seat part of the backseat. My dog was quite calm to and from, it’s not like he was violently going back and forth between the windows I have attempted to reach out to the company two times now and have yet to hear back from them about exchanging for a replacement. For now I have ordered another one, same brand in the smaller size in hopes the same thing doesn’t happen.

Have this for almost 3 years now. Very good quality! Waterproof and my back seat no longer have dirts and grass from outside!The only thing is that maybe because my car is a Honda civic so it feels like the hammock is a little too long. The part that supposed to cover between front seats seem kinda flimsy. But overall, so happy with my purchase!

We got this to protect black cloth car seat from muddy, wet feet of our border collie/Australian shepherd. Does protect seat. Only disappointment was how trim quickly faded and then began to fray.Cover is easy to move when needed and to put back in. Fits seat well for our vehicle.

This is the second one of these covers we have purchased. We have a second home and liked this product so much after using it for a few years in the one location that we bought the same thing for our SUV in the the second location. It is well made, easy to install, and keeps our dog feeling secure in the back seat. We just have a little 20 lb cockapoo and I will often take him with me to the store or running errands. I want to keep the back seats clean after his paws get dirty from walking in the stores, parks or parking lots. It takes less than a minute to install or remove this cover, which I really like when I am configuring the back seats for whatever I am doing. I spent over $100 on a similar product from Weathertech several years ago for a sedan. It is well made and also easy to install but cost well over $100. It doesn't quite fit in the SUV and I wasn't about to spend another $100+ to buy something for our SUV. For $30, the active pets cover does everything we need. I highly recommend this product if you just want something well made, inexpensive and simple.

Easy-to-use and washes well.

My dog has peed, pooped, and vomited on this thing, and it’s protected my car every time. I love that it’s machine washable and works so well. I can’t recommend this enough!

Good material simple to install comfortable for Tobi dog

I liked how it fit but only lasted one month and now it’s trashed. Definitely not durable and I would not buy again. Perhaps if you have small dogs it would be ok but won’t last for large dogs.

The second time I have tried a product of this type and the material used is not fit for purpose. Any small nick in the material I.e from a fairly blunt dogs claw, instantly turns into a tear that will continue to rip. Do not buy this product.
