United Cutlery UC2821 M48 Kommando Survival Rescue Axe, Orange

Perfect fit and addition to my backpack. Seems well built and even used it for kindling in the house last year because I was too lazy to go out and get the hatchet I left out by the wood pile. This tactical tool is SHARP! did I mention that it is SHARP? Dont let it slide down through your hand. I have a habit of doing this right before I put it away. The axe's lower point will put a nice hole behind your thumb every time if it is turned that way. Very pleased with this product.

The handle was a plnkish color not orange and it broke after two days of mild use. I am very disappointed in this axe.

Let me start by stating the that United m48 tomahawk is universal for the Kommando, rescue, zombie, and ranger. So the difference between those is just handle color.The blade itself comes sharpened and ready to use. and the spike is equally effective for application. The weight is balanced and easily wielded. Spacing at the top between the handle and the leading edge for the blade is enough to grasp the tool at the top and perform precise work without cutting yourself.The sheath is a big downfall. i suggest throwing it away. Belt loop is not accommodating to any wide belts, and sticks against web belts. rather than using a drop thru system for the handle, its just heavy duty snaps and a straight down removal. Which is awkward to work. and with repeated practice, my ax head still nicks the rivet for the snap every time.5 stars for the hawk by itself3 if you need the sheath for use

Do not use this to chop firewood, you will hurt your hands. There is not enough cushion. It is also not made for this purpose. It is more of a self defense zombie killer. The cord does come apart very easily so be careful and make it tight.

It was a ok axe but it was very dull and low quality steel. I bought it for the soul purpose of throwing but only the spike sticks into the target. I have been throwing axes and knives for seven years so I know alot about them. Sadly the second time I took it out to throw the handle snapped in half so if I had a do over I would by a cold steel item instead because I have never had trouble with those

a good tomahawk. the size was exactly what i wanted. good solid construction. good quality steel, sharp as hell and great handle grip. great for the money. when the zombies attack, i WILL be ready.

I give this 5 stars buy this I promise it's worth the money it was better then I thought it's sharp and nice weight to it and as a martial artist I enjoy to extend my training this is a wondeful weapon added to my studies buy it up you won't be dissapointed

I was amazed by the end results of a test,that was unplanned in taking up throwing tomahawks a pattern was forming we bought Cold Steel, United Cutlery, and SOG brandsTrench HawksM48Battle AxeFast HawksStandard HawksThe Both COLD STEEL AND UNITED CUTLERY BROKE THEN THE REPLACEMENTS SEND TO REPLACE THEM BROKE AND THE SOG'S STILL DONT BREAK, NOT ONE. I WILL ONLY BUY SOG'S FROM NOW ON.
