This book is a must have if you are serious about making your own baby food!! I would not have survived a month without it and it made my life so much easier. All you have to do is follow the plan. I will admit, it's a lot of work up front but after a couple days of shopping and prepping I barely have to think about food 3 months (which is very helpful for a mom with a 6 month old:-)!! I would suggest reading it a couple months before you want to start giving solids just to give you time to prepare and your little one might want food a little earlier than you expect. Great information on nutrition also!! So great and my little guy is the BEST eater!!Thank you , thank you , thank you!!!

I bough this book based on the excellent reviews and I do not regret it. Easy to read and saved a ton of time and money while offering high quality home made baby foods to my little one. I wish I would have gotten the printed version but the kindle one is ok.

I made my own baby food with my first child and just kind of winged things. I guessed at how much I needed, how many different foods to make, and what to feed when. a friend of mine turned me on to this book with my second child. I was wondering if I would have the time and focus to be able to make baby food for child #2 and this book has made it so simple and so easy! shopping lists, well-thought out cooking instructions that make the most of my time, space saving tools, and meal plans that take the guesswork out of what to feed when. I am telling all the moms I know about this!

I'm a first time mom who thought "I'm going to make my own baby food." Then the questions began....Do I add water to the puree, how much food do I buy, how do I store it, what food do I start with, how much do I give a 7 month old, who am I, how did I get here, aaaaaahhhhhh. Real Smart Baby Food appeared in my life and all the worry was gone. It is such an AMAZING RESOURCE! It answered all the questions above and more. A 3 month meal plan so I don't even have to think about what to feed him each day. Tells you quantity of produce to buy and how to pick it (ex: what a ripe cantaloupe looks like). Really love the dirty dozen notes to remind me. I can tell a lot of time and care went into this book. I don't write many reviews but just had to share my thought on this one. Great buy!!

Just finished making my little man organic homemade baby food using the info in Real Smart Baby food. The info in the book is great, very useful. The cooking plans and menus are so helpful. Took me a bit more than an hour, but loved having a schedule to follow the maximized my time. Shopping list was a lifesaver as well.

I wanted really simple basic recipes and found them here! I appreciate the single ingredient recipes that make it easy to mix and match foods. Great for those who want to make baby food but aren't sure where to start. The book recommends a marathon cooking style to create 3 months worth of meals, but any single "recipe" can be whipped up fairly quickly.

I made all my sons baby food for about 6 months. This book was so helpful in giving tips on how to prepare certain foods and which foods can be mixed together etc. If you plan on making all your own baby food for an extended amount of time, I HIGHLY recommend it.

My 5 month old decided he was ready to eat and I had no idea where to start. This book gave me a plan from start to finish, how to grocery shop, how to cook, freeze store, and feed. I work full time and this has my life VERY easy. I don't have to think I just put his food for the next day in the refrigerator and I'm good to go.
