Overall Grade: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Why do readers continually come back to the same authors? Why is it possible that I will read Devney Perry’s romances no matter the subject matter? It’s a simple recipe, I think. For a Perry romance, she builds her roux in romantic intrigue, whether it is suspense, social issues, etc. From there, she tosses in a robust hero, one who usually falls fast and hard for his heroine. To that, she slowly drizzles in a sultry, sometimes quirky, always intelligent heroine. She spices it with a burning chemistry between the two, and she tops it off with the most emotional of happy endings. These are her core ingredients, and they always make a palatable dish of romance. It doesn’t matter its setting or its focus, there is something special about Perry’s storytelling, and her newest book, Stone Princess is no different.<Spoiler Alert — if you haven’t read Gypsy King and Riven Knight>If you finished Riven Knight, you know that Presley, provocative, spirited Presley has been left at the altar. She pulls her shoulders back and soldiers on, determining her future without her long-time boyfriend. At the same time, a movie crew descends upon Clifton Forge, bringing the hunky mega-action star Shaw Valance. Shaw has thrown his production company into filming a movie about the murder in Clifton Forge. There is something about Marcus’s journey that makes him question his past, so he wants to make the movie to allow him to play a character antithetical to his typical roles. When Shaw and Presley cross paths, their chemistry ignites, and Presley tries hard to avoid falling for Shaw Valance, but that becomes difficult when, time and time again, he shows himself to be a thoughtful, valiant, handsome man. They both know a relationship can only last for a short time since he will be leaving when the movie is done, returning home. Will Presley and Shaw endure, or are they destined for a short fling?In considering Gypsy King, Riven Knight, and Stone Princess, thus far, I’d have to say that Riven Knight still holds my favorite place in the Tin Gypsy series with Stone Princess running a very close second. Stone Princess compares in its emotional gravitas to Riven Knight, as Presley must contend with broken dreams. At the beginning of this story, Presley must choose a new path forward. Thankfully, Perry has written her with an internal fortitude that, while your heart breaks for the events that have transpired, you trust she will find her way forward. This is something exceptional about Stone Princess: Presley’s grace, quietude, and integrity fashion her as one of my favorite Perry heroines. She’s a wonderful mixture of femininity and bada$$ery. She can hold her own with any of the guys in the garage, but also anyone in society. It’s her stalwart persona that attracts Shaw. For me, she’s the heart of this book. When her heart breaks (because every Perry romance requires a moment of brokenness), your heart will break for her too. Perry crafts this moment so deliberately that Presley’s pain is palpable. Perry’s ability to invest us in her characters’ lives is the reason that readers return time and time again to her books.This book has secrets. Perry keeps you suspended in her story because she paces those secrets, even to the 90% mark. NINETY PERCENT. Just when I thought I was “home free” to Perry’s delicious ending, NO! She grabs her readers and says “wait! There is more.” This more turns the tide of her story, and without ruining anything, sets up future stories. This pacing is the reason that you find yourself engaged in Perry’s books the minute you begin reading. I inhaled Stone Princess because Presley and Shaw’s journey feels essential and compels you forward.This leads me to the depth of Stone Princess. Shaw and Presley are not broken characters, as we often see in contemporary romance. However, they have been dealt difficult hands. Presley’s characterization is driven by her past. While she doesn’t linger there, she never fully reconciles those difficulties, and they cause her to build stone walls around her heart (aka her moniker, Stone Princess) to protect it. Initially, Shaw seems up to the challenge of demolishing them until he makes an error (as many Perry heroes do), and he adds himself to the list of people who have removed pieces of Presley’s heart. The emotions of this reality ground the story. For once, as the reader, you want Presley to be loved without restraint. When this becomes threatened, Perry brilliantly portrays Presley’s strength. Through these moments, Perry uses her ancillary characters to assert the idea that family can be constructed in any manner. The family that Draven has built in the community of the garage is the very family that becomes Presley’s power and consolation in her time of need. Similarly, Shaw’s family is complicated, and he fails to handle events from his past within his family. This causes Shaw to question his identity to a certain extent. When Shaw begins to understand the need for forgiveness, and when Presley challenges his perspective with her own events, Shaw makes choices to remedy the fracture of his family. While not the same message as Presley’s, it’s clear that family is the theme of Stone Princess, and it’s a reminder to us to cherish our own “families” too.Once again, Devney Perry has offered up a delectable treat with Stone Princess. She stocks her ingredients, looking for new variations to add to new books. It’s her recipe for romance that has me gluttonously eating up her stories when they’re served. She’s a master of the small-town romance, intertwining her worlds and compelling us to care about her characters. And at the end of each book, having feasted on her beautifully turned epilogues, I come away every single time, feeling satiated on her stories. Stone Princess is the dessert of the Tin Gypsy series.

An enemies-to-lovers romance, that takes place in a small town between an on location movie star and a spitfire that enjoys the quiet life. Get ready for Shaw to bring the heat and win your heart.A hollywood heartthrob comes to Clifton Forge to make a movie. He never expected the fiery pixie he met would change everything.Shaw Valance is changing things up. He’s tired of playing the hero. He found the perfect script that will allow take him out of his comfort zone and make him the villain. This story compelled him and he just had to make it into a movie. Clifton Forge, Montana just became his temporary home.Presley doesn’t want Shaw or his movie in her town. Draven was like a father to her and telling the story of the man that framed the man she adored, is going to re-break her heart. Losing Draven has been difficult. This is the last thing her family needs.Presley tries to ice Shaw out at their first meeting, yet he is not deterred. Too bad he’s irresistibly sexy. She wants him to disappear but she can’t seem to get enough of him. He’ll need to go all in to win her over.Their start is rocky, but Shaw is no quitter. That man can turn on the charm and he’s really just a good guy. It doesn’t take long for him to sway Presley in his direction, but she makes him work for it. Presley has been through a lot, but sometimes it’s better to take the risk and be happy even if it’s only temporary.She’s sassy and can hold her own, but she has her own baggage. He knows exactly what he wants, even though trust is an issue. Together they’ll find a confidante and an intense love that is worth any sacrifice. You’ll feel their connection and experience their hurt. Both have their own story’s to tell. The author gives us sexual tension, suspense and some nail biting moments. I love this family of characters that are bonded through love and loyalty. A great read and addition to this series.

Stone Princess is the third book in the Tin Gypsy series. Presley Marks is slowly rebuilding her life after the humiliation after being left quite literally standing at the altar after her fiancé ‘forgot’ he was supposed to be getting married. The last thing she needs is some Hollywood bigshot coming to Clifton Forge and raking up the recent past that her friends and family were central to and making a movie about it. When she meets Shaw Valance there is an instant attraction on both sides even though they are complete opposites. Now all Presley has to do is convince Shaw that no really does mean NO!!!This series just keeps getting better. It has everything you could want from a book. Strong characters that have flaws. The heroes aren’t perfect. They’re human. They make mistakes and jump to conclusions but ultimately aren’t afraid to apologise when they’re wrong. They also know what they want and nothing will stop them when they set their sights on someone or something. The heroines are all strong willed women, capable of standing up for themselves. The writing is amazing especially the dialogue between the H/h. Reading the exchanges between Shaw and Presley was almost like watching a tennis match, the chemistry was so palpable between them. The underlying plot with the rival biker gang that started in Gypsy King continues in Stone Princess building the tension and setting the scene for the next book involving Presley’s sister Scarlett and local sheriff Luke Rosen and I can’t wait to read Noble Prince releasing soon.I would definitely recommend reading this series in order of release so you can enjoy the story fully.

This is Presley Marks’ story , the feisty receptionist from the Clifton Forge Garage little is known about her background until now. Engaged to Jeremiah ( but he’d refused to buy a ring that should have been a warning ) she was now getting ready to marry him in the Forges’ back yard sadly though she’s not going to get her choice of who walks her down the aisle as he’s no longer with us . Certainly after all the recent drama and heartache everyone is looking now for something positive and to a safe future . Although the boys Dash ,Emmett ,Leo & Isaiah have all warned her that Jeremiah was no good for her ,but things are a little more complicated as he’s now a member of a rival MC gang . That’s the least of her problems though when as she’s ready to walk down the aisle on her wedding day she finds out that the groom is not coming as he’s forgotten that it was his wedding day !!!!. Hurt and humiliated her friends rally round to help her get through this , but there’s even more upheaval waiting in the wings when a film crew descend upon the sleepy town as they are going to make Genevieve’s mothers murder into a film . The part of Marcus, the bent chief of police is to be played by the hot gorgeous actor Shaw Valance ,who wastes no time in letting Presley know that he’s interested in her . As with the preceding books there’s a lot going on but we do get Presley’ story in full and how at the tender age of 18 yrs she ended up working at Clifton ForgeGarage and how Draven and the Tin Gypsies that worked there protected her . We also get Shaws back story as well although not horrific as Presley’s is but he certainly has some Daddy issues . After suffering years of violent abuse we discover how she ended up with the deadbeat Jeremiah and how he’s linked with her twin sister who was supposed to make the journey to freedom with Presley all those years ago . When her sister shows up at her home it’s not long before they are put in a very dangerous situation . Question is can Shaw together with Dash & his brothers get to Presley and her sister in time ? .......... I think we can guess 😍😍 . The only down side is that I’ve got to wait until November for the next one in the series to find out what happens next ......it’s already on preorder 😉

You learn that she has been jilted on her wedding day, by her no good, MC biker boyfriend Jeremiah. Presley is devastated, feeling like a fool for trusting the one man all of her friends warned her about. But Presley is resilient, she has already been through too much to let this fester, so she does what she needs to do, forced herself to get back up, and return to normality.But when Shaw Valance, a hot shot actor turned producer arrived in Clifton Forge to work on Dark Paradise, the film about Presley’s frienda mother’s murder, she is protective and determined to keep him at a distance.Presley fears that the film with lack authenticity and paint her much loved boss Draven in a bad light. She can’t bear the thought as he had been like a father to her, so she wants more than anything to hate Shaw. But her and Dash see it as an opportunity to learn more, to try and find out more about the inner workings of the film, and Presley is determined to be the one to retrieve the answers.Shaw is besotted with Presley from the onset. She is unlike any woman he has ever met, and he can’t understand why she is always telling him ‘no’. But can he woo her enough to turn that no into a yes?A beautiful story that continues the drama of my favourite motor cycle club. The characters are all loveable, and Shaw and Presley’s romance is on fire.The perfect read for those who love the wild antics of an MC world.

When this series just couldn’t get better, Devney brings us Presley’s story!I absolutely loved Shaw and think there is no person more perfect for him than Pres. He handles her so well and has the patience of a saint but when you know, you know.Presley was cold and so aloof towards the movie star when he showed up to make a movie about a dark time in her and her closest friends’ lives. Over time and thanks to his relentlessness she warmed to him and his wily ways. Their relationship was no easy, not by a long shot but patience and openness between them turned a friendship into something more. Even if was to be only temporary.It’s not a Devney Perry book without drama and one heck of a twist and she doesn’t disappoint. Despite being lighter than the first two books in the series, there is still enough shock and awe to keep you hooked and on the edge of your seat.I am so excited for the final 3 books in the series and I am so looking forward to Luke’s story!

Hated by her friends and family (those who work at the garage) as he is part of a once rival biker gang to the tin gypsies, Presley seems to be the only one saddened by Jeremiah’s no show at the wedding, until her sadness turns to anger and Presley realises she’s better off without the man she spent most of the past few years bankrolling.Just to add to her stresses, a few days after the wedding that never was, Dash has news that a Hollywood film crew is soon to be setting foot in Clifton Forge to make a movie about the famous murder that happened years prior. With insider knowledge and not everything being as it seems, the crew at the garage want to stay well out of the spotlight, but unfortunately or rather fortunately in the end, Presley catches the eye of Hollywood’s hottest film star, Shaw Vallance.Shaw has invested mountains of his own time and money into this film, believing in a script about a once good man, who did something horrific, which is a little too close to home. Shaw heads to the garage to try and make friends with those who were personally affected by the tragedy, but is knocked on his ass when he meets a pint sized princess with the bluest eyes he’s ever seen.Shaw doesn’t understand the word no, and Presley’s no’s start to mean yes, but there is a time limit to their romance, Presley’s life is in Clifton Forge but Shaw’s is in Hollywood, and neither is interested in anything long term, at least in the beginning.Without giving the story away, there are family members who turn up, hidden skeletons that won’t stay in the closet and ghosts from the past that don’t seem as scary when you have someone with you in the dark.Although not as emotionally charged as the previous two instalments, I have to say, Stone Princess is my absolute favourite book of the series so far, I fell in love with both Shaw and Presley and the set up for the next book has left me counting down the days to its release. Another epically brilliant hit for Ms Perry, gold stars all around.
