AXE Natural Look Hair Cream, Understated 2.64 oz

This was my first experience with hair cream, and I'm pressed with how well the product works. However, it smells like the deodorizer in my grandfather's Chrysler. My wife says you can't smell it on me but I only use a little bit. I guess I should have known it would stink, given Axe's brand identity. But holy hell...

Seriously did not like this product even though I really wanted to. It made my hair look and feel really greasy and left lots of white residue flakes in my hair. The only positive thing was that it smelled good. Note: My hair is really thick so I always need a good pomade/gel to make it look clean cut and put together without the strong hold and this was not it. Tried it for about 2 weeks with different combinations because maybe I wasn using it right. Tried it with wet hair, damp hair, dry hair,clean hair, day old hair without washing for a day, and all came out with same results. I resorted back to my Old Spice texturizing paste which I love.

This does provide an understated hold, but maybe too understated for it's initial process. This is very goopy and you can see it in the hair for quite awhile after you apply it. No matter how much you blend or comb it in. I recommend using a good leave in conditioner if you want understated hold because it's the same type of result in my experience, only the leave in blends quicker and better. Leave in conditioner smells better than this too. The smell of this product is reminiscent of that gross slime that comes in plastic eggs in quarter turn machines.

I'm surprised too... I had been on redken's get groomed creme for a while since it was the lightest hold I could find and didn't make my hair crusty. This one is very similar but has just a bit more hold which keeps my hair from going haywire in a windy city where redken's failed. Both are great but if you need just a tad more control, but still light enough you can run your fingers through your hair go with the axe you won't be disappointed

Not bad. It takes a while before my boyfriend finds a hair cream that isn't too heavy or greasy on his hair. This stuff I can see on other hair types being a little oily and maybe heavy. What's nice is that isn't not so sticky. For thick hair, this helps manageability and style. The smell is strong at first, like a cologne, but it goes away - it's not something you have to get used to. Beards get so much softer and no white specks at the end of the day. Just remember that a little goes a long way.

Keeps my hair happy and in place, but still soft, not hard like typical hair products. Not as greasy or shiny as typical pomade. I went through so many hair product before I found this stuff, now I have it on subscription! I need more all the time. My hair feels healthier and my scalp is less dry that with other products. Hands down, the best hair product I've found.

Very happy with this product after trying few types of paste from Axe. I like it bc it has nice scent to it but mainly bc its not overly sticky and doesn't make hair hard. It has some hold to it but not over the top. I find i can also rework my hair if needed with a little water. I'll be using product regularly.

I have used this product for years and it's been great. I bought this one from Amazon instead of my local store and it's terrible. It feels more like dish soap instead of hair paste, and doesn't hold my hair at all. I have seen other reviews about this being a fake product and I can't confirm as the packaging looks legitimate, but it certainly doesn't hold like my old one did. WOULD NOT BUY AGAIN

Best styling product of Axe. Easy to apply it on your hair. It has natural look. However you may want to prefer clean look if you want something stronger
