I love this yarn. So soft and silky and heavy weight. And the colors are beautiful...really more than I expected. Using a single crochet, I made a generously sized blanket for a full sized bed. What I accidentally created was a weighted blanket. The thing weighs a ton! I use it on my bed and I've never slept so well. It is very warm...on warmer nights it's too warm so I turn on a fan because I love it so much. It is nearly the perfect blanket yarn for me... Save one thing!IT SHEDS MORE THAN A LARGE DOG IN THE SUMMER!!!And on this point I do not exaggerate! I have washed it according to instructions, rolled it with a lint roller/brush, and done everything I could to minimize the issue to no avail. Actually the shedding began while I was in the early phase of the project and just got worse. My final solution was to pillowcase it between 2 old sheets, and that has minimized the issue. I must emphasize this one point....I love all other things about this yarn and the blanket I created (so much I made one for my daughter who loves it enough to put up with the shedding) with it to over look the insane amount of shedding. Please trust me on the shedding. Other than that one flaw, I would give this yarn an absolute 5 stars!

This yarn was exactly the color I had hoped for. I made a 55"x72" afghan for my (tall!) grandson and it worked up really well. I hope to make an afghan for the other 5 grandchildren! Judy

Hometown yarn by Lion Brand was difficult to knit because the yarn kept separating into 3 strandsso I had to pay close attention to each stitch. The yarn is very soft and has almost a pearl sheen to it.I would not buy it again because of the difficulty I had knitting it.
