I was going to purchase a more expensive shaper but I went with one. This makes a noticeable noise when I walk and has noticeably cheaper material you get what you pay for.

This pair of Underbust Bodyshorts is my first experience with the InstantFigure brand.Firstly, I am really impressed that this piece is made in USA. I go out of my way to support companies who choose to manufacture domestically.This shapeware garment is really nice quality. It has a very silky feel with a substantial weight to the fabric. All seams were sewn with care and there are no loose threads.This has really nice features like four way stretch and pull-on desisn. The crotch can be opened up so that you don't have to take down the whole thing to use the bathroom. I love that it has an open bust design so that I can pair this with my favorite bra.For reference, I am 5'5" tall 108 lbs 30D with a straight body shape and long limbs with a short torso. I typically wear a size 0 or XS in clothing. After glancing at InstantFigure's size guide, I saw that I fell within the measurements for an XS - so that's what I ordered. This fits me well and I would say it is true-to-size.I'm small framed and not someone who needs the slimming or compression features that InstantFigure totes. So, I can't really speak on whether these aspects are as advertised. My hope with this piece is that it would smooth under my slinky silk dresses so that I don't show any panty lines - and it does!I chose the "Nude" color and it is great for wearing with more transparent dresses.The one gripe I have is that the shoulder straps are not adjustable and I find them to squeeze my bust on the sides a bit - something that lengthening the straps could fix. I understand that having a bra strap design would leave lumps under the clothing and perhaps that is the trade-off. I think I'll be looking for a pair of shorts without the underbust tank part - I think it would better suit my needs.

Perhaps the sizing is much different in its country of origin, but the size listed was not the appropriate size for me. I was unable to get it past my knees, which tells me that a 4x in their sizes is about the equivalent of an XL in my country of residence. It may have been possible to evaluate the quality of the item if the size were clarified.

I bought this since I need to replace my current shapewear. It feels a little snug, I know it is supposed to be tight. But I had trouble getting it on and off. I would recommend getting the next size up. Once it's on it fits great and stays in place during wear.

This instant figure body shaper works very well under dresses. I really like that there’s an opening to allow me to use the bathroom which minimizes me having mess with putting it on and off during the day. It helps to smooth out my cursives very nicely. It’s a keeper!

If you are in your 40s, like myself, you probably need a little shapewear in your life. This is a tight one-piece that pushes everything in tight. It fits very snug. I believe I got a size xl in this and it was a little difficult to get it on. It smoothed out the curves so I looked decent in my dress. The shape wear includes a slit or hole between the leg area so that you can use the bathroom. The slit functions appropriately so you can tinkle. Overall, it was well made and worked for tightening the curves.

I got this, because they have a lot of "waist trainers" on here, and those things don't work unless you're already rather thin. Basically, check the measurements & then order one size up from what you think. The straps wanted to slide off my shoulders, the part for the middle didn't even come close, because that's where most of my flab is.Basically, this would be good for under a dress, if your pudge is mostly around your bottom, but the straps are practically useless as they slide right down. One upside is that they did think of if you have to wee, and put a gap in the crotch to let you relieve yourself. I could see this being useful for a wedding or other event where you want to look your best. It's well-made, and I tried wearing it for about an hour, but the shoulder straps dug in & made this awkward by sliding off my shoulders every time I moved.If you're smaller then this might work for you, but then you probably don't need a compression garment. It offered no tummy-control whatsoever on me, but if you don't have a big tummy and are just an average figure, it might be alright. I don't recommend bothering with this thing though.
