Goodbye spork.
Such a simple tool, but worth every penny on the trail. When I'm backpacking I bring a few "2 serving" Mountain House freeze dried meals. In the past I've used plastic and titanium sporks as well as an Eat'N tool to dig my way to the bottom of a bag. Doing so is a very careful dance. You're usually tired and just really want your food, but you don't want said food all over your hands, your lap, the handle of the spork, your gear, or the ground. The 2 serving bags just don't lend themselves well to a shorter scoop. This was a simple but very worthwhile addition for me. No trouble reaching the corners of the bag whatsoever and it was way easier to control (and avoid) a mess. Can be attached to a carabiner on your pack through the base or tucked away in a tall side pocket. Light weight and because it's titanium it cools quickly. If you routinely use the tall bags, you'll thank yourself for leaving your spork at home.

Finally!
I went camping the other day and at a bag of hot pasta from Mountain House Freeze Dried Foods. The food was delicious, but my hand was covered in sauce from reaching into the bag. Finally I can eat like a pig but keep my hand clean! This is a great spoon. Just the right length. I wouldn't mind if the spoon itself was a bit bigger (more like a tablespoon), but it's still great overall. The picture doesn't really show it, but the spoon has an excellent angle. Picture the spoon itself being held level (so as not to spill liquid), and you're looking at it from the side. The handle would be approximately at a 45-degree angle. Very cool.

Strong and Long
Long light weight spoon which is great for eating out of a dehydrated dinner pouch. It's long enough to keep your fingers clean and light enough it will hardly be noticed in your pack. A must have tool.

Good purchase
Good length for a mountain house bag. Nothing worse than having a small spoon and getting your hands all dirty when scooping the last bit at the bottom. With this spoon its not a problem.
