Crash Bar Protectors for Harley Davidson's Front & Rear Black Engine Guard Motorcycle

Negative reviews have said this doesn’t protect when riding and you loose control going around a curve. No kidding ? Duh ! Learn how to ride or get yourself a set of training wheels. This is designed to protect when even the most experienced riders put their foot down on wet pavement or grass or gravel or etc. Or, like me, when pushing bike over hump to get in garage and you lose your footing when it’s wet. This happens to everyone and you will get scratches. For that it is PERFECT. Fit became much better after a Texas summer. But would still be AWESOME without that. Wish they came in silver for my bike with chrome bars, but still very happy !! Would buy again. Would even pay double.

Does not fit flushed on crash bars

When these arrived the smaller/rear guards were pushed inside the larger front ones. This caused the front guards to take a "set" which made them fit very loosely on the front bars. To correct the problem I Pulled them closed with zip ties, then heated them with a heat gun until they were too hot to handle. ( an alternative method would be to place them in boiling water) Let them sit over night and when the zip ties were removed next day they fit correctly and securely. These are rugged and effective protection at a reasonable price. I would purchase again.

Unfortunately if you have a big motorcycle, you will be disappointed. I have a 2007 Road King Classic and was practicing some Ride Like a Pro drills. I was doing a slow cone weave and obviously fell and it got scratched up and it scratched up the crash bar as well. I also zip-tied them to the crash bar because they seemed to be very easy to move and figured if I fell it would come completely off and do more damage. Such was the case with the rear guard cover. Not only did it come off, It scratched up the rear crash bars and the primary got a little scratched up as well. I thought this might be an inexpensive alternative but I think I'm just going to go with the expensive ones.

Put on my Indian. Was making a tight turn in a patking lot. Bike fell over. Skid about 8 inches and it poped off. Scratched my engine guard through the paint to metal. Total skid maybe a foot.

I took a chance and ordered these crash bar protectors for my 2019 Indian Chief Vintage even though the product description said “Harley”. The large front protectors fit perfectly. I can’t vouch for the smaller rear protectors because my bike doesn’t have rear crash guards.They just snap into place instantly. And they fit securely enough that it doesn’t seem likely they could slip off in a tip over.

Great fit, easy to install. Hope I never have to find out if it works. I'm sure they will. Seems to be a good product.

Fit my Kawasaki great in the front but not the back so I order another set and use the front for the rear but says on the package for Harley Davidson but I love them
