autumn 2019, please come soon!
A thrilling book with an unexpected twist. I have read this book in two sittings and havent picked up a book for almost 4 years. This stiry truly immerses you into the life of tommy dawson. An adult book that feels engaging, this book brought me to tears on more than one occasion and with the details of the book you are able to relate to the characters with there motives around what they do. A picturable image throughout the novel to say the least. I very much look forward to find out what happens to tommy and his family and friends in the next novel especially after such a cliffhanger and i will be sure to buy the next one. I could see this taking off like the hunger games.three books 4 movies and one very big fan base. Roll on autumn of 2019

Great read!
This book is totally different to the genres I usually read but I really enjoyed it and thought I’d share with you guys! The 4/5 star Rating is based on the flow of the story and some editing issues but other than that the story is very well written and the characters greatly portrayed. The idea behind the book is very relevant to the twenty first century and specific to some communities. While this is unfortunate I think Nathan has drawn the readers attention to the very real problems facing some of the youth today. I was very drawn to Tommy’s character and his quest for answers. I loved his strength and determination to be different in comparison to his peers. The relationship between Tommy and Kristen grows throughout the book, and Nathan successfully takes us back to those awkward teenage, romantic encounters. In true British style the references to community relationships such as the local pub and boxing ring draw great imagery for the reader. I will definitely be on the look out for book two, while this isn’t a cliff hanger as such, you’re left needing to know more!! Great first book Nathan! I wish you every success

Thrilling read!
Inspired to buy this after Nathan Parker visited our school in Shrewsbury to talk to the children about being an author. The buzz afterwards was amazing and so many went off and started writing their own books and designing front covers so I had to buy these three books. Just finished the first and could hardly put it down, can’t wait to start on book 2!!! Thank you Nathan, no wonder you won awards!!!

What a rollercoaster!!!
Let me start by saying what a fantastic read this has been. The story line is gripping, you’re hooked from the first couple of paragraphs. The characters are very relatable and likable. Nathan has a great way of describing certain scenes and events that really puts you there in the moment. There is reference to great music in this book also and I really appreciated that. I would recommend this book to anyone as it covers murder, mystery, friendship, the struggles of life, romance and it is beautifully portrayed by Nathan. Really looking forward to the next book in the Granville series!

Couldn't put it down!
Couldn't put this book down! The story is very well written and the characters are greatly portrayed. I really bought into how realistic and relatable they were and how each character added to the story. The idea behind the book is very relevant and certainly specific to some communities and real world problems going on every day. I'm usually pretty good at predicting the ending, but very much enjoyed how you left it! Looking forward to reading the next one! Great first book Nathan! I wish you every success...

Pretty average crime novel. A lot of it is quite slow.
I felt the plot was pretty basic, and I disliked the writing style. It's quite a short book, so it's easy to read.

The second half was very exciting and I loved the overall setting and atmosphere, the rain, the fog, created a great mood. But the ending, the very ending, that cliff hanger!! Omg I hate it.... and what I hated even more?? That it says continued in 2019!!!

Nathan thank you for connecting with me on Instagram and bringing my attention to your amazing talent! This story has you on an emotional roller coaster. You fall in love with the characters and don’t want the story to end. I feel as if the characters are real and I was sitting being told a story by a friend face to face. This is a must read for sure and this book should be in all stores selling out!!! Such an amazing read. Please pick this up !!! Soo can not wait for the next book!!!

16 year old Tommy is the only responsible member of his small family. He often has to take care of his heroin-addicted mother and brother, and also finds himself having to fend off angry gang members coming to collect money at the house. Tommy's family has been broken since the sudden departure of his father Timothy, a man he doesn't remember, and someone who is never to be spoken about if his mother has anything to do with it. Tommy's only happiness comes from time spent with his friend Kirsten, and with Jack; a boxing coach and the only father figure Tommy has ever known. An unexpected revelation comes when Tommy gets into trouble and learns something about his father from the school's Councillor which sets him on a mission to find out once and for all what happened to his father. The Disappearance of Timothy Dawson is a compelling mystery about a past that refuses to remain hidden despite years of lies and drug abuse that have all but wiped out any traces of the man who Tommy so desperately needed to find.
