Very cool update to an old GM Muscle Car - 1970 Chevelle!!
Eliminates the old mechanical washer pump portion of the wiper motor. It's all electric! The pump the uses the existing wiring connector and it retains the look of the original unit. Very easy install. You may have to flip the wiring connector over - it's in the instructions.

Oem replacement ezi install
Replaced 50 year old pump, sadly it did not last more than a day ….. circuit board for pump activation during initial wiper movement failed….. not worth returning but I would appreciate a replacement pump

Washer works for the first time in 18 years!
73 Monte Carlo, had the car 18 years I don't think it ever worked since I've owned it. Bought another mechanical one 4 or 5 years ago and it was never right. Going on HRPT 2021 and for a 2000 plus mile trip wanted it to work. If you've dealt with these old mechanical pumps, you'll love this new electronic one. Fearful of the longevity, but if it works for a week, it'll be ok. Price was right.

Just what the doctor ordered..
These washer pump retrofits are the cats meow for older GM's.. I used one about 20 years ago on my '71 Monte Street Rod.Recently, I began restoring my deceased f-i-l's 1976 Chevrolet C30 dually with dump bed to operation, after it had sat unused for years. After fiddling with the original old style mechanical cam operated unit - and not getting anywhere - I ordered this unit on Sunday night. It was here by Tuesday 10 am, installed within 20 minutes, and there was washer fluid on the windshield for the first time in decades!Highly recommended..

Haven't found a good one yet
The original mechanical pump on my '74 gave up so I purchased this electronic replacement. The first one bolted right up and worked well. Two weeks later it was completely dead. Amazon was great and shipped a replacement. That was DOA. Was hoping that was a fluke. Third one was DOA, and so was the fourth.I own an auto repair shop so this was not user error. I bench tested the last two with a 12v power source before installing and nothing.

So Easy!
I have not fixed a problem so easily in a long time. 3 screws and a few hoses and a plug.Comes with an extra adapter (two total, but two different sizes) and a new filter for the inlet hose. I installed this on a 77 Chevy C20 pickup. Also, don't worry when you first take the old one off and notice they are designed a little differently. It'll still work.

Works great, once you unplug the windshield washer float.
I had to unplug the wire the goes onto the switch on the windshield washer bottle, otherwise, when the switch is close (low level), it gives a ground to the pump and will empty what is remaining from the bottle and probably burnout the pump itself. Not a faulty design from this pump, just Cadillac wanted to save a wire. It wasn't a problem with the old mechanical one since the pump stopped by itself once the wiper motor stopped.
