DAYS 50
Since the age of six I've been a life long soap opera watcher. Just like many who started it was passed to me from the women in my family as we watched the CBS soaps. Once I got older developed my own taste and that's when I found Days at the age of thirteen in the summer 1997. I was instantly hooked by the soap's storytelling and its shining stars and hellcat, schemer characters in Alison Sweeney's Samantha Gene Brady and Eileen Davidson's protrayal of Kristen Blake Dimera and her multiple personalities and beautiful romantic heroines Hope Williams Brady played Kristian Alfonso and Marlena Evans by the one and only Deidre Hall! Once I became a fan of the show there was no turning back. I had to read the history and started watching all the older storylines on social media get to know these colorful characters.'Days of our Lives 50 Years' chronicles history of Salemites first family The Hortons led by Tom and Alice Horton. The blue collar, tight knit Bradys. The organized crime families in The Dimeras and Kiriakies clans to name a few. Your also taken down memory lane with the best adventures, supercouples, storylines, heartbreaking moments, and wedding interruptions. The coffee table book has beautiful photographs from black and white to colored pictures with quotes from those who help create the magic behind the scenes and the actors who bring the characters to life on screen. The book is an excellent get for any old and new Days fan whether you're getting it for yourself or as a gift for someone. It's without a doubt a worthy purchase and one can recapture the magic anytime they want.

Great for a Day’s fan!!
My teenage daughter loves flipping through pages of books especially ones with pictures. She has been so into watching my soap opera with me I thought she’d like this. She loves it. She flips though it frequently and I think she’s starting to know the history of the characters better than me. lol There are a lot of really nice colorful pictures. It’s a great gift for a Day’s of our Lives fan.

Fantastic Photos
This excellent coffee table style photo book gives a visual history of Days of Our Lives from its first 50 years. There are brief descriptions of some its more popular storylines like Marlena's possession, the Salem Stalker, and the CT Scanner song and dance fundraiser.Past cast members like Gloria Loring (Liz Chandler) are features along with newer cast members. One of the last photos is almost an inside joke to viewers who remember a hilarious episode. The photo features the gorgeous Horton women eating Alice's famous donuts in the living room. There is a sappy quote from Julie on love, tradition, and memories. Across the page is a photo of JJ headed up the stairs with a platter of donuts turned slyly to the camera. In this episode, he made donuts with marijuana and it got switched! Julie, Maggie, Hope, Jennifer, and all the rest got stoned out of their minds while JJ and his teenage friends felt nothing with the regular donuts. There is not a description of that in the book, but it's a nice wink to the fans that are current daily viewers.Looking at the old photos makes me want to watch old episodes. I wish they would put out DVDs with episodes centered on certain storylines, like the Salem Slasher, or super couples like Roman & Marlena, or greatest episodes of the 1990s. That would be a perfect way to enjoy the Days of Our Lives!

Very nice book for Days Fans but watch the price it flucuaties like crazy at times.
I really enjoyed this book once I finally ordered it. I have always liked looking at old pics of the characters on the show and knowing the history. My main issue with the book itself is that there's a lot of pics with no name caption so not sure who's who especially when actors change and age and some I have always heard about that were on 30-50 years ago. A better family tree type thing would have been nice too...yes so and so is a Brady but who's child is he/she.I had this book in my cart almost since it came out but was waiting for a price drop....when it dropped down to 12 something I jumped on it....but everyday it was getting lower and lower till the price was under $10.....UNDER $10!!!!! and I almost paid 20 for it cause it seemed to be the lowest it was going for awhile. And others of course paid anywhere from 22-25 for it. It is a nice book tho and worth more than 10 that's for sure. just crazy how how the price can jump so much.

DOOL
Loved it! Beautifully done. Lots of pictures and insight into the characters and story lines from the last 50 years. I was reminded of story lines I had forgotten and was told of stories of favorite characters from before I started watching the show. It was awesome to see some story lines from when I was very young, that I remembered seeing when my mom watched the show. I had no clue that Hope's step-mom is also her sister, which explains why she calls her by her first name.-- This is just one of the many insights that all Days fans should know.
