I had 30lbs. braid on my reel for three seasons with no issues, I was about to fish in a big tournament and assumed it would be wise to replace the three year old braid with new braid, went to the big bass shop and bought the “top of the line” braid which ended up giving me issues after issue and performed poorly, I put the three year old braid back on and have had zero issues, later bought new reaction tackle braid and replaced the three year old braid. No problems, since this experience I only use RT Braid. I was so impressed I looked up these guys, they are a small company based in Wisconsin, I reached out to them and got to talk with real people. Try that with those spider guys. I also have started using their terminal tackle with a similar experience, quality and price.

UPDATE: The day the below review (which originally had 2 stars) went live, Reaction Tackle sent me a mssg, to which I responded, and the very next day refunded me for the 15# line that I had bought. Wow!! (And, today I loaded up the 25# version of this line that I had purchased and I think it's gonna do the trick...and if it does, I'll give this a full 5 stars because I love everything else about this line - especially now the stunningly good customer service.)======Summary (for the 15# line): Color is terrific for murky waters like ponds and lakes!! Easy to see against that. And it casts like a dream - freely, far, and true. However...I'm admittedly no fishing expert, but I've never had line break like this. I bought this to replace the awful, twisty mono that came on my new reel, and was delighted with how it handled versus that swirly junk, but I don't think this 15# line is good for much. First caught a feisty, fighting 4+ pound catfish but line snapped once I finally got him near the dock. Re-rigged, recast and caught a ~1# bass and yet again the line broke.TL;DR: After decades of always borrowing brother's and uncles' rigs, finally purchased my own during a recent vaca on the lovely SC coast. Learned quickly that the cheap nylon junk that came pre-loaded was too frustrating to manage. So when I got home, I did a bunch of research and decided braid was the way to go. On Amazon, found this as a top seller. Figured I'd never need more than 15# for the random, casual fishing I would do, so ordered this. (Unfortunately I also ordered an extra, larger reel of it bc I was concerned I wouldnt have enough when I got this first smallest reel and saw how slender it was, so now I'm stuck with that bc it is just outside the return window.)Didn't have opportunity to use it until this past weekend, when I was enthralled with how much nicer it was to cast, and how responsive it was. You truly can feel every little nibble.But then I caught a fish...a very feisty, fat, fighting fish. I fought with it for a good 3 or 4 minutes but finally got it near the dock where we could see it was a sizable catfish, around 4 or 5 pounds. My companion reached for the line, and it snapped, just a few inches from the fish.Ok.So I cut off a couple feet of the line, and started over with fresh rigging. Within minutes, had another fish that I pulled in. When it got close enough to the dock, we could see it was a smallish bass, maybe 1# if that. Tried to pull it up and again the line snapped in two.So I don't know what this 15# line could possibly be good for. Minnows?

I've tried several brand and models of said brands over the years and they all seem to have 1 thing in common , a pain in the tushy to work with when tieing knots , getting birds nests out ( if you snag a tree branch on the way forward in your cast with a baitcaster you'll know what I mean ) , a waxy feel that's hard to grip , and just seeing with old eyes .I got black because it's hardest for the fish to see in dirty water or after sunset (first time using black was with Hammer 30lb so I'm familiar with how it looks in the water already) and it was not that hard to work with when I loaded up my brand new out of the box Sharky3 baitcaster reel . I plan on using it for lighter lures so I wanted a thinner line and a whole lot on the smaller spool that the reel came with . 30 pound was perfect as I wanted same diameter as 8lb mono . I got over 80 yards of it on the reel ( I intentionally left it about 10 yards shy of being full ) and getting things started , knotted , and filled was as easy as working with 6lb mono but no line memory to contend with .Time will tell how well this stuff holds up against rocks and trees but so far I like it , so much so I already ordered another roll to switch my Ultralite spinner combos over from 4lb mono to 15lb braid , again in black .

I’ve never used braid until this year. Always been a mono guy. I’ve also always used spinning reels my whole life. But I bought a boat and I’ve gotten more into saltwater fishing and started using baitcasters as my main set ups. The picture is my bass rod and reel. Since 30lb braid is about the same diameter of 12lb mono I went with that. I really like the moss green as it disappears into the water in the lakes and ponds I usually fish. I’ve had several snags and a few bad casts due to learning the ins and outs of using a baitcaster and this braid has held up great. I can easily yank my bait back in after snagging an underwater tree limb or above water tree branch😂. I mainly use lures from 1/4oz to 3/4oz and I’ve had no problem launching them further than I’ve been able to throw using my spinning reels. I’ve had maybe some very slight discoloration in the green right at the lure end of my line but I fish several days a week for a few hours at a time so I’m very satisfied with this product. And you can’t beat the price either. I have 50lb test on a few of my salt water reels in the deep blue color and it’s held up excellent as well. This is my go to braid going forward.

Honestly, it started out as a good product. It doesn't hold memory like the mono I used before. It's very thin and light so can be used with small lures. And it hold up for the type of fishing I do. I mostly fish from shore. I do get a snagged more often than with any other line type I've used. Might just be a learning curve I haven't figured out. I'm new to recreational fishing.

If you are using this stuff on a spinning reel and don't know how to spool it, then take it to someone who does. At x8 the higher in test you go up the thicker in diameter. You will want your line to be spooled on properly and tighter. That being said, this braid is quality stuff, The first fish that landed on this line was a 40+ bull red pulling drag the line cut through Kevlar finger protector. So be careful using it, and enjoy.

This line has been great.so far haven't used much will know better in the spring

I ordered this line after using fireline for over 10 years. The price has gone up so much for what you get that I started searching for a cheaper strong alternative. I bought the 500 meter roll of moss green and it works very well. I can cast further then with Fire line and have caught a bunch of fish over 10 lbs this season. The largest being 18 lb Northern pike. It worked flawlessly and I was able to pull in the fish without issue! I would buy this line again. Now the only thing I don't know is how long it will last but if it lasts for 3 to 5 years and I can catch 500 to 1500 fish with it. That would be a win in my opinion.
