The Christmas cactus (Zygocactus) is native to the South American jungles. The flowers bloom once a year and come in shades of fuchsia, yellow, salmon, pink, white, orange, red and sometimes will even have a combination of the colors. The Christmas cacti are tropical plants. They require sunlight and the blooms last longer with cooler temperatures. Keep them away from heaters, fireplaces, radiators, furnace ducts, and other heat sources. Place in a sunny location while indoors and if outdoors during the summer, find a place that has a sun/shade mix to prevent the plant from getting burned.

Root rot and stem rot -
Arrived with several broken stems and more than a few wilted tips but appeared very full and many sturdy limbs, After a few days, more stems appeared to be wilting and had to be removed, at which point it appeared as if they had been simply pushed into the soil. By the first week, more than half of the plant was dying and on closer inspection many of base stems had rot. The repotting had to be escalated vs allowing the cactus to acclimate. Practically every stem and most roots had to be trimmed of rot and hopefully will survive. I should have taken photos for the review. If even one or two stems propagate I’ll be lucky. So disappointed. I’ve had really good luck with a different mail order plant company but can’t recommend this one.p if this is the result.

Good size plant
Is a really good size plant but arrived late in the evening and I didn't get an alert so was on the front porch all night. Temperature was around freezing so it was pretty cold. The packing was done very well so I warmed it up. Have transplanted in with other colors and it's getting new leaves. The two pictures are 15 days apart.

Came as described. Sturdy plant, beautiful flowers
This was a fast ship, in the winter, packaged well, with no broken stems. Great looking gift for a grandson.

For the cost NO Buds and small
I guess for $30 I expected more. Not that big or full and not one bud to bloom anytime soon! Not worth cost! It arrived in tact but so wet not sure if it will dry out anytime soon. Will see if it makes it.
