Useful grater
Good pot to collect at the bottom although most still ends up on the side from the external grater side

Good sharp grater
The frame on my ancient Microplane broke after 30 years, so I replaced it with thisSeems just as sharp, nicer to hold, and no plastic in the frame - there's a bit in the soft grip of course. It produces shreds the right size for Parmesan cheese, ginger etc and although it's arguably a bit bigger than needed for the job, also good for zesting citrus. All graters are horrible to clean manually, I put it in the dishwasher

Victorian torture device
I have never personally owned a grater because I find the traditional tower style incredibly annoying to clean so when I saw this design I thought - wow, maybe I can finally add grated carrots and cheese and such to my regular diet. I have used it twice since it arrived and can confirm it grates extremely well and is very easy to get fully clean after. However. On the first occasion I used it I was a little careless and grated a few (short) finger nails and got a tiny cut or two. So on the second occasion I used it I mentally checked myself to be far more careful and stop before I got near the end of the carrot etc etc and this time I grated off the tip of my index finger. Who needs the tip of their index finger anyway right? RIGHT? Blood, lots of blood everywhere, lots of pain. Can’t reattach it because it’s mixed in with my grated carrot. So glad I bought myself a Victorian torture device.

Ideal fine grater
I have been looking for an ergonomic grater for making very fine carottes râpées, and considered buying a microplane but the price put me off. This Oxo grater has proved to be ideal for my purposes, and my only regret is that I did not buy it sooner.

Great but a bit clunky
Personally I think it's good, however the large grip while comfortable can make it difficult to get a good angle on the zester. For citrus it's great, but for carrots and longer foods it kinda sucks, the vogue ones are better for things like that.If you'll only use this to zest citrus it's great but for other foods it does do the job well but just feels a bit awkward.
