Foiled by China manufacturing (garbage) and response again
Followed directions, plugged it in and the scree went crazy. Tried to reset it, insert card, restart, same thing...then goes black (yes was plugged in as battery lasts maybe 30 seconds when not plugged in). Contacted the provider and he wrote back telling me I must be doing something wrong? I asked for a refund 2 weeks ago. Have still not heard back. China....gee, what a surprise. I have been consistently been let down with China goods.

Performance is not very good
I bought two of these and neither one was recognized by my computer with the USB cable. And neither unit's battery would accept a full charge. I was hoping for better performance. I'm returning these and will be doing more research. Right now, I'm leaning toward the KDLinks X1.

Ive had this product now for about a month. No complaints. However I still haven't bout a memory card to put in it yet. So there are still some aspects about this device that I have no clue as to how well it will work! But rest assure I will re post what I find.

For a $25 dash cam it's not bad. The video quality is NOT fully HD - it might be at HD specs, but the lenses are not top quality so the video is not the clearest. Example - as a car passes, you can't read the license plate. But again, it's a $25 dash cam.One up side (which is not mentioned) is that it has a battery inside, but on the down side it only lasts about 30 minutes. The instructions are pretty bad. Obviously written by someone whose first language is not english. But between what you do have and the fact that the camera is pretty straight forward, it's easy to figure out how to use. One word of caution - There is an option that says video cycle time, and the options are off, 3 minutes, 5 minutes or 10 minutes. While it sounds like this is the longest video it will take that's not the case. What actually happens is after that specified time, it starts a new clip. It does not delete the previous clip. However once your card fills up, it will delete old clips. Here's the problem - once it starts a new clip, the video chops in and out for a couple seconds. In the mean time there is no fast forward or reverse for playback. So you can set for a lower time and if something happens you don't have as much to watch through, but you risk not capturing something more often (The shorter the time you specify, the more clips, and the more choppy starts). If you set the cycle time to off, then it just keeps going, but what happens is after 10 minutes, it shows that it keeps recording, but it actually freeze frames the last frame. Don't use that settingIt came with a suction cup window mount that is adjustable. One problem (and a quick fix) is the adjustment screw nut gets in the way of connecting the USB cable (which powers it). Easy fix is to take the bolt out and turn it around. Also included is a cigarette lighter charger with a VERY long cord. Long enough to tuck around the edge of the windshield if needed. Once nice feature also not mentioned is that as soon as you plug it in, it turns on and starts recording.Overall it's not a bad camera. It's not the best there is, but again, for $25 I'm quite happy with it. I have a 16 GB micro SD card in it, and that gives me about 1 1/2 hours of recording time.

Failure
Worthless product. Would not save settings, I had to re-set the date and everything every time. Randomly turned off WHILE I was driving.

Good for the money
The on-device UI is awful, and I spent a considerable amount of time doing trial and error configuration changes trying to make it work the way I wanted. It simply didn't work well until I used the menu option "reset to factory defaults" and then just left it at the default settings. I'm actually half convinced that the configuration settings shipped corrupted, and that the reset was necessary for proper operation of the specific unit I have. So long as it remains stable going forward, I'll be happy with it. So far, after about a day of real use, things are looking pretty good. I will update this review if it stops behaving.

Otherwise seemed like a good low end unit
Started to randomly power on/off after two weeks of use. Otherwise seemed like a good low end unit. Returning due to power issue.
