Minuteman International Arts and Crafts Fireplace Set 5-piece Tool Set

The main hook tool broke after just a few months of ordinary use. (It may have shipped broken, and just been glued back together -- I'm not totally sure). It just snapped in my hand as I was moving a log with it. The seller refused to replace this clearly defective product because it broke just outside the return window. Not a good product. Not good customer service. Look elsewhere.

It isn't "roman bronze" or any other color of bronze. It is flat brown. It looks like it is simply wrought iron that has rusted. The weight is great, the style is exactly what I wanted, the shape is interesting yet modest. But the screen was loose at the bottom, and the item isn't bent evenly so it doesn't sit flush to the wall - there are gaps at the bottom on both sides.

After reading reviews on lower cost screens I opted for the more expensive one. It does what it's supposed to! Don't mind the "shine" the picture gives. The actual screen has no shine on the metal. It's a bronze/dark brown. If you're looking for a pop of color against your red brick... this isn't the screen for you. it blends in well. Took us a bit to adjust to it, but we like it.

We are very happy with our new Minuteman International Arts and Crafts Curved Fireplace Screen! It arrived packaged in thick but slightly crumbling cardboard, possibly from being shipped from a humid environment. The cardboard and interior packaging protected the screen well during transit. We were pleased to see it had no scratches or abrasions on it at all. It is fairly heavy and built very solidly. The color is slightly darker than we anticipated, but we think it looks great with our room decor and especially our brick fireplace. Based on the description we thought we might be getting some accessories with our screen. But that is not the case.

As a stand alone item, this may be OK, but I purchased this as the companion piece to the fireplace screen of the same style and it is a full 6 itches TALLER than the matched screen. It looks awkward at best next to the screen. It makes me curious as to why they didn't make it as tall as the screen it's obviously supposed to go with. Sorry, but this is a huge design fail in my opinion

This is exactly what we were looking for. Did not want to install glass doors and the existing screen was shot. The screen is a nice heavy weight that stays where you put it. Very nice looking and fit our opening just perfectly. The color is a decent dark neutral which works with our fireplace (and I'd think most others). Well-packed and heavy enough that you really appreciate free Prime shipping.

Guess I'll live with the disappointment but the finish is dark; no evidence of bronze. Would/could have been 5 stars...

We really love the look of this fireplace screen. If you look directly down the screen from above it is a little wavy but you don't notice it from the front at all. It isn't too bowed ad fit in front of our smaller fireplace nicely.
