📡 Attenuate like a pro — control your signal, own your spectrum!
The BECEN 10W SMA Attenuator is a precision-engineered RF component designed to reduce signal power by up to 40dB across DC to 3GHz frequencies. With a robust metal housing and integrated heatsink, it handles up to 10 watts of power while maintaining a low VSWR of ≤1.20, ensuring minimal signal reflection. Ideal for professional testing environments, it features SMA male input and female output connectors for easy integration with transmitters, receivers, and spectrum analyzers.

Excellent low power attenuator, very good when direct testing transmitter/receiver
Excellent lower power attenuators allowing the output of 10Watt transmitters to be reduced to a level that permits the attenuator output to be connected to a receiver or spectrum analyzer at a low enough level to avoid damage. It's bulky and heavy, though much less so than a 100W model. It should reduce the transmitter output by two orders of magnitude, 0.05Watts from a 5Watt source. It helps to have lower power cascaded "tuning" attenuators to adjust as necessary. You probably shouldn't hang it on a handy-talky (HT) as it's weight isn't something the HT is designed to have on the antenna connector. So, best used on a flat surface.Any heat from the attenuation will be distributed through the built-in heatsink. It would be best to use with a little care on surfaces but 10 Watts and the circular heatsink should mean not much heat transfers even during long transmissions. It's useful to have a variety of short connector cables to attach to other devices, this has SMA male input and SMA female output.

good producr
perfect, works great, within specs.

Worthwhile load to have for testing transmission signals.
I was fairly impressed with this dummy load while using it to load my radios while evaluating signal output for spurious harmonics. I didn't identify anything abnormally produced between the signal while sinking it with the load or loading a regular antenna. Worthwhile product to have on hand.

Close enough for government work
I don't know that I trust these for higher frequencies or 10W outputs, but for VHF and low UHF these are great for testing your average 5W HT. Make sure you have enough attenuation to not overload your analyzer (not just enough to get below the limit).

Good up to at least 1GHz
The specs say VSWR ≤ 1.2 and ±1dB. That is true up to around 1GHz, but seems to go out of spec above that. I measured up to the 1.5GHz limit of my nanoVNA with one sample roughly every 1MHz. Between 1GHz and 1.5GHz the SWR maxes at 1.4 and the Insertion Loss goes up to -25dB. Maybe it should get less stars, but I didn’t foresee using this above 900MHz anyway and it’s possible my nanoVNA is the device not performing well at the high frequencies. It’s a good value for the price. Just be sure to measure it yourself before using it above 1GHz.

Handy for testing HT's

Sembra ben fatto , corrisponde a quanto dichiarato come attenuazione, swr, resistenza.

Größere Funken, sollte man nich damit testen. 73
