perfect size, highly functional
I use this for sesame seeds and the middle sized holes are perfect. Nice that you can securely close it when not in use. A very well-made and pleasing little kitchen accessory.

The PERFECT rock salt shaker!!
I switched to using rock salt instead of regular salt in an effort to consume less sodium...and I found a tiny sprinkle of rock salt goes a long way! The grocery store rock salt I buy comes in a cardboard tube with a plastic top that I've always hated. This Verdental stainless steel shaker is perfect as you can twist the top for small, medium and large holes...but the best feature is you can close it completely so the humidity does not cause the salt to clump! This shaker is excellent, simple and exactly what I was looking for!

Great for normal to heavy textured seasonings.
Well built for shakable ingredients that are average salt consistency and greater. The stainless steel and the gauge of the material are quite desirable. The mechanical parts operate smoothly with just enough drag or resistance. The rotating cap may have a little too much gap above the disbursing holes. The reason for the 4star rating is because I purchased this tiny shaker mainly for popcorn salt which is very fine in nature. The ability to seal off is poor with very fine ingredients. You can use this with the trap door completely closed. Some come out when it is inverted and more comes out when it is uprighted. It's just a little messy....but usable as is.

Nice Shaker
I mix clove, nutmeg, and cinnamon together in this fine little shaker. The rotating cover works great. Very nice for the price. I would buy another.

I like this shaker
I'm using it for hamburger seasoning that I mix. It's a handy size, not too large, and a good design that keeps it covered when not in use. The top rotates to expose one of three sets of differently sized holes or to cover completely. Just right for what I needed.

Very Small and the label they put on it is almost impossible to remove
This is very small. They put their PAPER label on the product and even goo-be-gone couldn't remove the glue residue. I cannot recommend this.

Great price, works, no rust!
Perfect for Kosher salt! Just don't be a dummy like me and think you press the lid to close it after putting in salt - the lid will come off and salt will go everywhere - DOH! It might not look like it has a spiral, but you twist the lid to secure it.I've had it for 8 months and just checked inside for rust as others had reported - none!

Really handy, medium size, with a selection of three hole sizes
This is great for powdery spices and toppings, such cinnamon, paprika, parmesan cheese, powdered sugar, cocoa, or grains and seeds, such as cornmeal and poppy seed. Sugar and salt, not so much, because it wold dump granules out onto food, rather than sprinkle it.It is not one of those big bench shakers that you use to sprinkle flour on your bread board before kneading. It fits into my hand nicely. It and holds most of a can of smoked paprika. Those are typically aluminum.I love that you can move the cap cover around to select from three hole sizes. Can't imagine why one would want shaker holes so big for salt. It would dispense far too much to be palatable. Two of the hole sizes might handle rock salt. Buyers who saw rust, may have exposed the canister to corrosive substances and damp climate conditions. Although I live within a mile of the ocean, I haven't seen rust, but I haven't put anything corrosive in it, such as salt. The other thing to remember is that unless a product is 18/10 or 18/8 stainless steel, also called 304 stainless steel, it will likely rust, given the right conditions. Stainless steel is generally more expensive than this product.
