If You're Man, Shop Like One
I have been growing my beard for the past 6 months, which I believe is the longest it's ever been (nothing impressive, but quite thick). I regularly used the same shampoos and conditioners that I used on my head, but my beard always felt brittle and coarse. With a quick google search, I realized there was a whole world of beard products that I had never known about. This is an excellent, gentle shampoo that lathers into a rich wash for the face fur. The smell is a little unusual, and the "woodsy" description sounds appropriate. However, I quite like the scent, but it doesn't seem to remain after rinsing, so it's really not an issue either way. After rubbing the bar on my face, I will give my beard a good rubbing with these tree-cutting, fly-fishing, bear wrestling weapons that I call hands. After rinsing, my beard feels cleaner than ever. Make sure not to stop there though. Get yourself a good conditioner and/or beard oil/wax to make sure you're achieving your maximum manly potential. Think it's manly to have an all-natural, unkempt, untreated brillo pad filled with tasty morsols of food on your face? You're wrong. It's 2014. You're not a bum. You're a man. I bought this one month ago, and there's still enough to last me easily another month, maybe two. Granted, I only use it a few times a week, so if you plan on using it daily it may not last as long for you. However, I've noticed that where I leave it seems to degrade it more than my actual use. It resides on a shower caddy under my showerhead, and while the water doesn't drip onto it directly, I'm sure it catches some splashes at least. The bottom of the shampoo bar takes the shape of the grate it rests on, so I know I'm losing a little bit of longevity out of it from my placement. I recommend not doing that :) First beard-specific shampoo I've tried. I'm so happy with it though, that it may be the last. Disclaimer: Using it once will not make you look like that dapper gentleman seen pictured on the box with a raging heart of untamed fire and computer-defeating chess-champion intellect. But your partner may think so, and that's mildly important.

The Everlasting (Australian) Gobstopper
QUESTION: What do a dog's chew toy, a rusty hinge, a Fuzzworthy beard, and a mouse all have in common ? (Skip down for answer) This company give you a monster size cube of beard soap if you take into account how long it lasts...I started using the cube on August 2nd, (after taking a picture)...It is now December 8th, (over 4 months later !!!) and I still have about a month left to squeeze out of that little cube that I just took a picture of... I use it daily for the most part, but I may skip a day here and there...The scent is unbelievable, but damned if I can describe it...It doesn't smell like a balm or beard oil though, since it's not meant to last all day... I have a full beard, and it's on the longer side, but not long...I take this cube and dig into my face with it...It has a bit of a gritty feel, so I imagine it's roughing up any beardruff...After I lather it up with my fingertips, I just bask in the strange but good sensation it gives my face while it's working... Ingredients: Mount Wellington spring water, olive, coconut castor oils, soy wax, Leatherwood beeswax, Tasmanian Seaweed extract, Leatherwood honey, cocoa powder, essential oils... Not being a native to Australia, I have no idea what Mount Wellington spring water is, but I imagine it's a positive, not a negative...Same with Tasmanian Seaweed, but I'm sure that means something in Australia also... Whatever it's made out of it seriously cleans my beard like nothing else I've tried...Touching your wet beard, it's obvious the built up grease is gone...The most profound way to tell that it's clean lies in the answer right here... ANSWER: They squeak !!! I kid you not when I say my beard squeaks after cleaning with this soap...One day when I first had it and was marveling at how clean it was, I dragged my hand down the side of my face and there was an audible squeak...Now I use the squeak to make sure I've cleaned my beard thoroughly... And one last thing, it leaves your beard extremely soft...Just how you'd want it to be when applying an oil or balm... This soap is extraordinary, and well worth the price... I HIGHLY reccomend this product... Good luck !!!

This is an explosion of woodland scent and leaves my beard nice and soft.
I love Pura D'or's citusy beard balm and Scotch Porter's sandalwood and musk beard balm, but so far beard shampoos have been boring. This is the first beard shampoo that made me stand up straight and go daaaang. It's so nice that I now use this for my scalp hair and everything else in the shower (shhhh, don't tell the fuzz). Just rub this into your beard (or any other hair) and it's an explosion of citrus, beeswax, and spruce sap. There's a lot more going on, but these are the top notes for me. My biggest complaint is that the scent doesn't really linger. What remains is definitely nice, but the 'wooooow' smell is only while lathering. Well, that's what the beard balm is for. And I really do like how soft and smooth it leaves my beard feeling, this is definitely a first. Edit: I should love the ginger and beer version (I am a brewer) and I do love the scent, but the only thing I get from it after shampooing is stale movie theater popcorn. Not recommended at all, stick to the other varieties.

Beard's Best Friend
My beard is long and bushy, so I've tried lots of beard washes. This one is by far the best around. It makes it easy to run my fingers through my beard in the shower to get it clean and massage the skin underneath. I don't really use beard conditioner anymore because I can't see a benefit after having used this. I have very sensitive skin, but Professor Fyzzworthy's Beard Shampoo (Original Scent only) keeps me itch-free and smelling great! Pro tip: After the shower, I use Reuzel Wood and Spice Beard Foam and hit it with a low-heat blow dryer with a comb attachment. It makes my beard clean and tame. I haven't found any other combo that keeps my beard so clean and tame.

I've tried other beard shampoo's and this one tops them all! It's extremely simplistic, "Cube" shaped bar of soap that simply works! Trust me when I say, you don't need to apply much soap, it goes a long way. My beard is roughly 2-3" long and I rinse my beard thoroughly first, then take the bar and gently run it through the bear from one side to the other, put the bar aside and use my hands to gently rub it through. It starts to foam up right away and you get plenty of bubbles. I swear this product is going to last me at few months. I typically wash my beard every second day, and in between I do a "co-wash" which is a simple rinse and I use a conditioner, which I also use right after I wash my beard with this soap. I highly recommend everyone use a conditioner. The soap itself has a smell to it that only comes from Naturally Derived ingredients. After washing and conditioning, I use all natural, non-scented beard oil, also purchased on Amazon and my beard comes out silky smooth. Best beard wash I've ever tried and I will not go back to any other. 5 Stars!

I wish the soap had a bit more fragrance but can still smell it’s scent when I run my hands through my beard. Lasts a long while too depending on how much you use. Feel it’s added to my beard density as well.

Leaves my beard clean and soft. I was a bit apprehensive about bar soap, but this is great!
