Trintec Vintage Altimeter Altitude Wall Clock 6.5 Square 9060V

This was perfect for our basement rec room that didn't have a clock anywhere. I have some old mementos from my time in the service and this addition seemed like a good fit. It is exactly as it looks and is similar but easier to read in my opinion than some of the other versions with the white markings. Those just seemed busy and difficult to read. I am very happy with this one and my kids are even able to read it just fine, so it is practical and not just some novelty that dad likes but can only use. It feels sturdy and well made which I wasn't expecting. Time will tell if it keeps good time. I have only had it a week so far. I am very happy with this purchase.

I bought this as a replacement for a similar clock which finally quit working. I figured that all of these altimeter clocks were the same size and did not pay attention to the dimensions, so the first one I bought as a replacement was actually twice the size of my original. I ended up returning it since it arrived (from a different vendor) broken. Also note the yellowish coloring which gives the unit an older / vintage appearance. My original clock had pure white characters which I personally preferred.

Perfect size for mounting on an old wooden prop with an improvised hanger. Clock mechanism is made in USA, body in Canada. Silent running - rugged; withstood seven foot drop to carpeted floor. As soon as my son saw it, I had to order one for him as well. One reviewer mentioned the yellow figures and hands superior to the white; I agree.

Quick service! My husband was pleased. Great Christmas gift. We also have the regular non-vintage clock that I purchased thru the naval base, but it broke. I went to their site to purchase another one but they were sold out and I found this, so I was excited.

Item worked for the the first 3 mos (Oct '20). After that it began to slow down even though I changed the battery about monthly (all batteries tested fully charged by my tester). Five days ago (March 12, 2021) I again took the slow clock down, inserted a new (tested) Duracell battery dated 2030, and waited after synching it with 2 other clocks. Last night, March 16, the clock lost 17 minutes on the new battery (which, after removal and test is still fully charged). This is a piece of junk from TRINTEC Industries and made in the USA. My previous one was made in China and lasted over 15 years. Too bad - I'm a pilot and really like the device. Will have to look further I guess.

Accurate time keeper so far, matches my Airspeed Thermometer wall indicator, eye catching, just like the old days flying in the service.
