great pipe!
I have at least a few dozen smokes into this thing and it never ceases to amaze me. The filter really mellows out the smoke, if making it a little less convenient to clean. So far, it's very durable. I just smoked a bowl of the famous Apple and it seems like these were made for each other. Very cool in the hand and comfortable in the mouth. Worth every penny and then some.

One of the best late night, cool smoking pipes I’ve had!
Nice! Cool smoking. Fits nice in hand. Doesn’t get hot! One of the best late night pipes I’ve ever had!

Decent pipe if you don't mind charcoal filters
The pipe was stylish, though a bit on the heavy side, but the filter moves every time you take a puff. Had I known this before I purchased the pipe, I would have gotten something else.

Mr. Brog, you have made me a fan!
After reading and watching a fair share of reviews for Mr. Brog pipes I figured I would take the leap and add one to my collection, I'm not sorry I did! it was a toss up between this and the Amigo (I think I'll still get the Amigo at a later date, lol) this thing is a beast! not to big but not too small with thick enough walls that you almost need to be careful when puffing away, this thing barley gets warm! and (so far) this pipe smokes better then a couple of my briar pipes! I will say though with it being made of pair wood I have noticed what many have said to be a slightly sweet/bitter taste when smoking it, although my first bowl was "Ole Shenandoah Barrel No. 76", and I was drinking pumpkin spice coffee, so my taste buds were all over the place, hahaha, but seriously if you're looking for a affordable yet reliable pipe, get yourself a Mr. Brog! I've definitely become a fan!Side note: the only problem I did have were with the seller/amazon, after being told I would receive this pipe on the 18th I did not receive it till the 20th, but it's not really that big of a deal, it was well worth the wait!

Poor quality.
I was very pleased with this pipe when it arrived. The shape was nice and fit well in my hand. However, the shank split after a few uses rending the pipe useless.

Good pipe. Wood stem cracked in a 1/2 spiral ...
Good pipe. Wood stem cracked in a 1/2 spiral where it meets the plastic stem on the 1st one I bought. I hope that it was just an imperfection in the wood.

Burned pipe in 4 smokes
I wanted to try a cheap pear root wood pipe. I ordered a cheap pear wood pipe. I smoked it 3 times and loved it. It seemed well made and smoked great. I ordered another (a churchewarden 3 piece). I smoked the chochla again and near the end of the bowl I tasted a horrible taste. After dumping the bowl, I looked very carefully into the pipe. There was a fissure stemming from the smoke hole. There was a spot burned into about 1/4 of an inch of wood. The pipe smelled gross.I contacted the seller and they quickly responded that it was a fluke. They eventually said if could take a picture i would be able to get a replacement. I however, do not want to really care about shipping back a 17$ pipe when I have a 30$ pear on the way. The fissure and burn spot are incredibly hard to photo as well. It was a shame since it smoked so well.I will try and repair the burn with some pipe mud when I get a chance.Note: I am not a novice and know how to ease a pipe in, I have never came close to burning a new briar pipe.Note2: The staff did seem willing to work with me.
