Great Dish, Just The Right Size
I love this little dish. It cleans easy, and is very convenient to cook in. I made multiple mistakes with this dish though, which caused me to have to purchase a new one, TWICE!! The first mistake that I made was in putting the dish into an oven, without having allowed the oven to reach the temperature that I wanted (475 degrees). The dish cracked. I then read the instructions which tells you to NOT do this, as an oven trying to reach the operating temperature that you want can sometimes reach extremely hot temperatures while warming up. Well, I paid the price for that! The 2nd time I killed my dish, I had placed it sitting on top of a burner, which I had just turned off from HIGH. The burner had not cooled down from the high temperature. I heard a 'crack', and looked over to see that my dish had cracked in two. Another demonstration of my subjecting the dish to extremely hot temperatures, and like my first dish, I had a second dead dish. I have now learned to FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS, and keep my dish away from extremely hot conditions! NO! You would NOT use this dish for BROILING!!!! That is extremely high heat!!

We need to know now what the rest of the world has known for centuries
I you know nothing about the quality and durability of Corning ware, it is similar toCorell: known all over the world for quality, durability, easy to clean and difficult to blreak, the one I bought was to replace One I used for 50 years, dropped it several times, but never broke, but one friend like it so much that he took it home with them, and never returned it, because of that, now you can be sure that id you buy one of these: Go Corning, Go Corelit will be 50 years before you need to replace it, unless you keep it under lock and key.God bless you falks of the North, South, East and West.

Great casserole dish
I purchased this casserole dish to replace a very similar Corningware dish that I have had for over 15 years and has developed some stains. This dishes my "go to" casserole. A perfect size for so many things and easy to clean. My old dish is smooth the underside which I prefer to the new one has raises ridges that are a bit rough.

F-2-B Corning Ware casserole dish not as described
This is a very nice casserole dish, and I was satisfied with the seller's packaging, shipping, and return process. Unfortunately, the product arrived with no lid despite product description stating "With Lid Yes." Also, the label Corning Ware F-2-B is being used for a variety of Corning Ware French White casserole dishes everywhere except on the official Corelle/Corning Ware website. The delivered product's measurements should have matched my Corning Ware F-23-B 1.5 qt casserole dish, but turned out to be shorter, narrower, and with much taller sides than the Amazon description. Additionally, research on the the Corelle/Corning Ware website as well as vintage sources appears to confirm that the shallower casserole dish with the 1.8" sides that I expected to receive has not been manufactured for the last twenty years.

Not the advertised size.
Nice dish. However, it is not the advertised size. It is 1 1/2 qt. But it is only 9.75 inches long and about 7 .5 inches wide.

Best stoneware in my experience
This is my 4th CW French White, in different sizes and shapes. All the older ones have withstood years of use, with moderate temperature changes. Two of other brands have cracked for no apparent reason. If I reheat food cooked and stored in the French White after it's been in the frig, I warm up on low heat first, then go to full reheat temp. I love the shallow oval shapes, and covers either come with, or are usually available.
