This is a small palette, but I understood that when I ordered. I love the smaller wells, as I mostly paint minis or bookmarks. It is perfect for that. I liked it so much that I ordered the large one shortly after using this one.

I love having my paints and my mixing area in the same space. I love that it’s porcelain…my colors mix up so nicely. You really can’t beat porcelain for mixing paints! I love it!!

This is a very nice weight in a watercolor palette. Sturdy, plenty of mixing wells, compact in size, and perfect for loading up a project with all of the necessaries before beginning. I'm enjoying the palette very much and would recommend it not only for use by a watercolor artist, but also as a gift for a watercolor artists. To many times we get surrounded by all of those cheap, flimsy, flippy, palettes and don't toss them because they are loaded with our precious paints. Most of the time they are larger than we would like and consume a lot of desk space. One could even stack these if need be!

I really wanted to put my tube watercolors in the smaller areas and use the larger areas for mixing washes, but it's too shallow to really use the way I'd like.Indents are less than 1/8" -- might work for you if you're super careful. But it's not my favorite.

This watercolor palette is one of my absolute favorites! It's so cute and has several wells for paint as well as a larger area for mixing. It cleans up beautifully with no staining. And this size is great. It doesn't take up a lot of room and it's very functional. I highly recommend it. This design is so user friendly, I'm considering getting the larger one to use in tandem.

I have bought 3 different porcelain palettes on Amazon. By far, this one seemed to have the most—dare I say it—*love* put into it. I’ve never experienced ordering something, that I’m pretty sure came from China, come so thoughtfully and sweetly packaged. The box was nicely designed. The foam protecting it looked like someone made this by hand on Etsy and they packaged it with the idea that it not only would be protected during shipment but then opened by me once I got it. The tape securing the foam even had tasteful little ducks on it! It really looked like it came from someone who cared!As for the porcelain palette/mixing tray itself, it is attractive and well made. Even the underside is glazed, which is exceptional and quite nice. I enjoy using it and out of the 3 I have I think it may be my favorite (even though I have a more practical one in my main workspace). It is definitely a palette made for detail work, though, as it is a fairly small size, but if you checked the measurements in the description this shouldn’t be a surprise.

This porcelain mixing palette is amazing. I love the smaller size option (gotta budget my space). I left the colors for 3 days. Blue and red stain really bad compared to other colors and they come out so clean with just water and a toothbrush.
